I love this shirt so much! I have ordered nine of them for family as gifts. It is so comfortable and warm. Fit is loose. Great for layering without being too bulky. This is a great cabin shirt that can be worn all year long!

Rated 4 out of 5 by shopper1001 great. if only in extra small
very pleased with the quality and feel of this. if only they offered it in smaller sizes. I ordered the small but its still to big. I love it in all other aspects and really dont want to return it because im pleased with everything about it other than it still being a little to long for my liking. if ever an extra small was offered I think it would be perfect. so 4 stars based only on lack of full range of sizing options. Unfortunately finding smaller fitting clothing for adults is becoming very difficult.

I'm replacing the Black Watch fleece-lined shirt I bought almost 20 years ago, it has just worn out! I have never found any other fleece-lined shirt that wears like these from L. L. Bean.
I'm an extremely satisfied customer!!

The combination of flannel & fleece makes this a substantial shirt for a cold winter day. I spent yesterday with a chainsaw cutting up a downed tree in the yard & this shirt saw me through the task in high 30s-low 40s damp weather just fine. Suitable as a shirt-jac for semi-cold days. Versatile enough as a jacket, also suitable as a shirt. Best un-tucked.

Im an average size guy. The "L" was too big for me. Im sending it back and trying a "M".

Rated 1 out of 5 Even small is oversized
Normally I wear an M size. After struggling to make the oversized shirt work, I returned it for an S. It is still quite long, with sleves too long and it just does not fit. It will be all right for chores and it feels warm enough for that during cold days. Maybe a good prop for the "I am a lumberjack" song.

I reviewed this shirt in August 2012 and have since purchased 4 for my Large Tall adult son (6'3", 175lb--fits true to size as an overshirt), 2 for my Large Reg brother (5'11", 195lb--true to size also), and 2 for myself (usually women's size 4, fit great into an XS in this shirt). .
With cold water wash and no more than 15 minutes in the dryer before hanging to dry, they have all come out looking close to new after many wearings. These shirts work well with a short or long sleeved Tee shirt underneath, and are especially warm if layered over a men's Cresta wool or Polartec power dry baselayer top
The external flannel is thick and brushed to a soft, comfortable plushness. The internal fleece is extra soft and warm. The feeling together is one that must be experienced to be believed. If you think that you have found soft warmth before, you will be happily surprised when you put one of these shirts on.
My only disappointment is that LLBean has discontinued the XS size, which worked not only for me, but for two of my son's adult male friends who are quite slim. Please bring the XS regular size back into rotation, as there are plenty of slim men around who would like to be warm and comfy also!!!

Very comfortable lined shirt - really a JacShirt style, but not too bulky. Has a wide temperature comfort range. The day I got it, I wore it as an outer garment in 15 degree weather for a few chores and was surprised on warm it was. But it also is a comfortable indoor garment up to about 68 degrees. It does run on the big side, which is good for layering; but if you want a trimmer fit, you might want to consider going a size down if you are one the border between two sizes. I really like the snap "buttons" and slash pockets. Bought it at the sale price - great deal.

The rustic red buffalo fits well, keeps one warm, looks good, and I recommend it. The loden-colored version has thin lines that stretch, warp, and bend up to an inch out of line, while at the buttons the fabric pulls away from the button and leaves an opening through the shirt.
No quality control. I'm returning it and hope that the black watch shows a quality design that matches the rustic red buffalo pattern.
