Rated 5 out of 5 by LaceysMom Excellent on Ice
Thankfully, I bought these before Christmas since we have had snow storms and ice every week since I received them. I do not know how I would have been able to walk about our property without the aid of these!
Definitely will buy another pair!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sapper Sure footed on ice
I bought these Microspikes as the ones I had earlier are getting worn. I have the same kind in Black. I found that they fit my boots for hiking and have offered sure footed scrambling over trails. I hike 5 to 6 miles about 4 times a week. They are much lighter than the Stabilicers I also have. They are supposedly not as good as the Kahtoola's most of my friends use - but I have had no problems at all. They are light, fit fine and do the job.
Even though my 'new' purchase is tan colored, I would recommend that you get the black ones - they seem to not slip off the boots. Some of my friends who had problems with the Microspikes slipping off had orange colored ones. I think it might be that the compound used is more elastic, or it could be operator error. All I know is that mine have not slipped off my boots even once in over two seasons of hiking. And the price is right, as is the Customer Seervice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nana61 A Lifesaver!
I'd seen this in the KofP store and bought one for myself, though I have yet to wear it. It seemed like a great idea so I bought another for my son who commutes by train then walks over a mile to the office, plus a mile to and from the train and home. Sometimes the sidewalks are not cleared and he told me how hard it was to keep his balance at times.
.
It was great to be able to have it shipped directly to his house since the day after it arrived there was an ice storm! He called me from work to say thank you - that it had saved him twice that morning! He just loves them and wishes he'd had them years ago.
Thank you LLBean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TThoFoSho Perfect for an icy NYC commute!
I love these. I love these. I love these.
I have slipped, slid, skated, fallen, tumbled, and taken out one or two unsuspecting toddlers during my ten NYC winters. No more! Thank you for making such a seemingly obvious and simple product. They work with a multitude of shoe styles, stay firmly in place, yet are easy to slip off when need be.
I'm no longer afraid to face the icy (deadly) NYC sidewalks.

Rated 5 out of 5 Don't Take Out the Trash Without These!
My second Northern Illinois winter with the StabilIcers LIte. I keep them hanging in the garage. Easy on/easy off over my hikers.
We have an EXTREMELY steep driveway, and it's crazy how well these simple devices work. My only question is why we always get a winter storm on trash pickup day? No worries with the StabilIcers!
I think I'll get a pair for my wife so that she can enjoy the pure pleasure of wheeling a 65 gallon trash bin down our driveway after an ice storm.

I am using my Stablicers for the 4th winter. I use them for walking my feisty Brittany. He took me down 3 times before I was turned on to this product by a friend...it was either that or teach my dog how to drive me to the ER!!! If you can manage to put the Stablicers on a pair of shoes/boots and leave them there for the season, you will be better off that way...made of sturdy rubber but will stretch over time and eventually the metal studs will wear down over time also...all to be expected IMO...I spent 19.95 back when I purchased so, at $5.00 per season versus a trip to the ER...MONEY WELL SPENT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rika Extremely Useful: Boots Confidence when Walking
I have purchased two pairs of the stabilicers lite (one as a gift). I bought my pair just in time for our first icy condition this winter and they've been very useful especially following the Blizzard of 2013. I walk quite a bit around where I live, and the clearing of sidewalks and corners to cross streets is often variable. I've been managing on icy surfaces with renewed confidence and decreased stress about falling or other mishaps. They are light to carry with you and I've managed to put them on my boots while leaning against a wall (not sitting). I highly, HIGHLY recommend esp if you are a pedestrian & public transportation commuter and are around poorly cleared surfaces in winter. I like the fact that they're USA made too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stampit A good fit and works perfectly!
What a great buy! Living in the city, some of our sidewalks are not cleared after snowstorms/ice storms. Either we walk in the street or on people's grass. Finally had a chance to try these out with my new L.L.Bean Gore-Tex Mountain Treads this week after a slushy snow turned to solid ice. The stabilicers are a little of hard to get on, but once in place, they are set. I was able to walk on the uneven ice with confidence. Absolutely with sure footing and no slipping at all. My husband had Ruff-Hewn's brand on his hiking boots, but they did not work nearly as well. His were much harder to put on. The "pics" were made of screw caps, and one came off before he even got them in place on his shoe. We will be taking those back and will order a pair of these wonderful stabilicers for him!

Rated 5 out of 5 by customer072 Don't bust it, buy these!
If you've ever slipped and fallen on an icy sidewalk, you'll appreciate these. I have a very steep driveway, and when I have to clear snow, these keep me from looking like a fool tumbling down my driveway. I bought a pair for my wife as well, but I can't talk her into shoveling the drive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by superchemicalgirl Terrible - constantly falling off
Our very hilly, shady property is a nightmare of ice during the winter. I have slipped, fallen and slid many times trying to get out to do my barn chores. I asked for these for Christmas, and received them. I was very excited to use them.
They work great... when they stay on my (Sorel) boots. I am constantly dropping one off one boot or the other and having to circle back and get it. Then I put it back on and wait for that one or the other side to come off 30 seconds later. It's infuriating. I've given up. They're just not worth it.
These had such promise, and work so well on ice, but I am highly disappointed.
