These are the best, longest lasting boots ever. My old pair lasted 15 years. Love the warmth of Gore-Tex/Thinsulate lining.

Before the winter season started I purchased these boots for my husband. Since he does most of the snow removal we figured these would be great. We were right. He loves them. They keep out the water, keep his feet warm and are very comfortable. He loved them so much that we bought them for my father for his birthday a few weeks ago.

Bought these for my husband who has a hard time finding boots that fit. The fit is true to size and width, 13M, and warm.

Received boots about three weeks ago after hesitating for over a year and a big price increase. When the boots went on sale I decided it was time to buy. Opened the box and tried them on within ten minutes of delivery. Nuts, couldn't even get my feet past the tongue with no laces. Going to have to send them back, even though I ordered one size larger than I usually wear because of a big weight gain. Decided to let them sit overnight and try again. No problem next morning, the fit was perfect. Guess they were in the UPS truck too long and and being new, they were just stiff from the cold weather ride here in Michigan, they just had to warm up. So this past week, with over a foot of snow and two large driveways to clear by hand, I had the chance to try them out big time. All I can say is, why did I wait so long to get a real good pair of warm waterproof boots. No more orange socks from non waterproof all leather insulated boots that are waterproofed by hand every year. Only problem I had was self induced. Only wore a pair of low cut socks instead of a taller pair. Walking around for five hours, the new stiff leather tongue took a bunch of skin off one leg from the constant rubbing, lesson learned. Next big test will be the spring cold water/ weather boat fishing to see how warm my feet stay. I have no doubt they will be toasty.

These boots are great for the outdoors in all weather, but especially wet weather. They keep your feet dry and warm. They help prevent slipping or falling on slick surfaces. We have bought these boots for over 30 years. They have many styles to choose from.

I've had three pairs of Bean Boots in my life. The only reason I ever got rid of a pair was because I outgrew them. I used these boots regularly this fall for hiking in swamps, thick forests, and on snow covered peaks in Vermont - they were used hard. Each time I wore a pair of Smartwool socks, and laced them tight. These boots are waterproof and will keep your feet dry - I promise you that. One problem I ran into was a lack of warmth. I always wore thick wool socks that were dry (usually Smartwool PhDs), but every time I wore them for more than 20 minutes in weather below 20 degrees my feet would freeze. It was like the Thinsulate liner hadn't done anything to keep my feet warm. I don't think I noticed this with my past pairs because I was too young to care, but I certainly noticed it with these. Unfortunately I did return these without any problems, because I need warm boots. I intend on purchasing a 10" pair for spring and fall use, but I will look elsewhere for winter boots. I would recommend these for Fall and Spring, but not winter.

It's a great product that has maintained it's high standards of quality over the years. These days so many products have become foreign made imitations of what they used to be but not these boots. The fit and finish are outstanding, they're are comfortable and warm. I expect them to last for many, many New England winters, just like my last pair which finally got lost during a large renovation project.

They run, as advised ny LL Bean, small. Were told to order a size down- and they were correct. The boots are of the quality that we have come to expect from LL Bean. Fabulous customer service.

Bought these fine boots to replace the ones my wife gave me way back in the 70's. Have enjoyed the old boots for decades and finally wore a hole the sole. Although there is no leak in the old ones, the new pair was a must as these have become a part of my life. I use them for wet and snowy weather as well as to wash the cars. I was so pleased that the new boots are identical to ones I've worn and enjoyed for so many years.
