Dear Valued L.L.Bean Customer,

Travel Hammock

Our records show you purchased or received the Single or Double Travel Hammocks (DWS7 or DWS8) sold by L.L.Bean after July 1, 2008.

L.L.Bean has learned that the hooks used to hang the Travel Hammocks sold after July 1, 2008 may break while in use. If the hooks break while in use, it could result in an injury. For your safety, please immediately stop using your Travel Hammock.

Please remove the original S-hooks received with your travel hammock and contact us at 800-555-9717 or LLBean@llbean.com to request a set of replacement carabiners. Use the black rope originally included with your hammock to attach the new carabiners to the hammock. Please immediately discard the original S-hooks.

If you purchased this product as a gift, please pass this information on or call us at 800-555-9717, and we will send this letter to the gift recipient. This recall notice has been issued in cooperation with the hammock manufacturer and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
