Day Hiker First Aid Kit

Our records show you may have purchased or received a Day Hiker First Aid Kit sold by L.L.Bean (Item #9C072). The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the Wisconsin Pharmacal Company have announced a product safety recall of the iodine prep pads contained in the kits due to potential contamination. Please immediately inspect your Day Hiker First Aid Kit, remove the iodine prep pads and destroy them. No replacement iodine prep pads are available from the manufacturer. The Day Hiker First Aid Kits will now be sold without the iodine prep pads.

This recall does not affect any of the other components in the first aid kit. Products affected were sold beginning August 1, 2009 through May 31, 2011.
