Dear Valued L.L.Bean Customer,

Our records show you purchased or received the Bean Canteen with the Sport Cap (0HTV8, 0HTV7, 0HTW2, 0JGA9, 0HMX3) sold by L.L.Bean between April 10, 2009 and April 19, 2010.

In cooperation with US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the manufacturer, Klean Kanteen®, is recalling the Sport Cap 2.0. To find out if your Sport Cap is affected by the recall, click here for product photos and more details.

Klean Kanteen has received five consumer reports relating to the spout tip of the Sport Cap 2.0 breaking or cracking after being dropped. This could pose a potential choking or ingestion hazard, though there have been no injuries reported.

Klean Kanteen has developed a higher-impact version of the spout that remedies the potential hazard. For your safety, please immediately stop using your 2.0 Sport Cap.

You may choose either of the following methods to obtain a replacement sport cap for your water bottle.
