A forest of larch and ponderosa pine provides shady tranquillity at Logan State Park.

This small park on Middle Thompson Lake attracts primarily anglers, who come for rainbow trout, largemouth bass and kokanee salmon.

Paddling and boating on the lake are popular. Water-skiers also enjoy the park, as do swimmers.

Nature lovers find a heron rookery next to the park and 17 acres of mature western larch and ponderosa pine.

There are 40 campsites. Three campsites, including two tent sites, are wheelchair-accessible. A dump station is available.

The park is 45 miles northwest of Kalispell on U.S. Hwy. 2, adjacent to the Thompson Chain of Lakes fishing access site, a 3,000-acre area.

Non-residents pay a day use fee.
