Tent campers enjoy sites along the lake. The park includes 20 contemporary villas for rent on the shore of Lake Jocassee, their windows offering views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Cherokee Foothills are visible from Lake Jocassee. With 622 acres of lush forestland surrounding the blue waters of Lake Jocassee, Devils Fork State Park is among South Carolina's most beautiful natural resources. There is camping at 84 lakeside sites and extensive park amenities, including four boat ramps, a bathhouse and several picnic shelters. Some of the camping sites accommodate RVs up to 36 feet. Twenty cabins or "villas" are also offered for rent. All sites can be reserved. Crystal-clear Lake Jocassee offers excellent fishing for trout, smallmouth bass, bluegill and black crappie. Hikers along the park's two nature trails are likely to spot wildlife such as wild turkey, fox, white-tailed deer and peregrine falcons.
