St. Lawrence Islands National Park is located in the heart of the Thousand Islands region in eastern Ontario. The park conserves all or parts of 21 islands and about 90 islets scattered between Kingston and Brockville, and a mainland base at Mallorytown Landing. Because this is primarily an island park, water sports are the main recreational attraction. Kayaking is popular and both power and sail boaters use the park islands as stopping points for day or multi-day trips on the St. Lawrence River. There is a day-use area at Mallorytown Landing with a visitor center, historic gunboat exhibit, picnic area and playground. Access to the park's islands is by boat only. The park does not offer transportation. Docking and camping fees are due upon registration at arrival. Primitive campsites are located on 11 islands. Campsites are available on a first-come first-served basis no reservations are taken for camping and docking services. Group camping is available at Grenadier Island by reservation only.
