A paved, wheelchair-accessible trail runs to Kingfisher Crossing in Red Rock State Park.

Seventy percent of wildlife in the Southwest can be found near moving water. Red Rock State Park, with Oak Creek at its heart, is teeming with creatures.

The park's wildlife includes rare black hawks, the javelina and an occasional mountain lion.

The 286-acre park also includes hills and formations of striking red rock. The Red Rock Pathway runs through the park and is shared by hikers, cyclists and equestrians.

For day trippers, the park offers abundant interpretive programs and facilities, including a glass-walled room for viewing hummingbirds. The roof of the unique earthen visitors' center offers a perfect perspective of nearby Cathedral Rock.
