The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest encompasses 2.1 million acres in northern Utah. Visitors can enjoy mountain vistas and desert terrain while hiking, mountain biking, skiing, camping, picnicking, wildlife watching, or scenic driving.

Five downhill ski areas, 1,797 miles of non-motorized

trails, 656 miles of motorized trails, nine scenic byways, and nine wilderness areas await visitors.

Scenic drives include Mount Nebo Scenic Byway, a 32-mile paved road that winds through rugged mountain scenery with magnificent overlooks of the surrounding valley.

The 24-mile Alpine Scenic Loop pass Timpanogos Cave National Monument andd offers breath-taking views of the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness.

Albion Basin boasts a magnificent display of rare and colorful wildflowers.

The High Uintas Wilderness offers a remote and refreshing escape from the congestion of urban life. Fishing opportunities abound at Strawberry Reservior accessed from U.S. Highway 40.
