Casco Bay, Maine, Island-Hopping Kayak Trip
- Take a three-day paddling excursion around the islands of Casco Bay
- Get a unique view of Maine's diverse landscape and history from our expert guides
- Spend one night at our island base camp and another at a charming island inn
There are so many islands in Casco Bay that they are known as the Calendar Islands, one for every day of the year. You'll experience the Maine coast while paddling at a leisurely pace as gulls and ospreys wheel overhead. The first night will be spent camping, and the second night you'll be spoiled at a historic inn on Chebeague Island. From our Paddling Center on Casco Bay, you'll paddle in a stable, two-person kayak, to an island for a picnic lunch, then enjoy some of the region's most scenic islands. At Island Base Camp in the evening, you'll enjoy a delicious dinner. Afterwards, sit back and stargaze as night descends on the bay. Following breakfast the next morning, your daylong expedition to area islands begins. The afternoon will be spent paddling to Chebeague Island, where you will have dinner and a relaxing evening at a historic inn. The next morning you'll settle back into your kayak and paddle along a chain of surrounding islands. We'll stop for a picnic lunch, then return to the Paddling Center.
