  Returns or Exchanges by Mail in Two Easy Steps
  
  Our preferred shipping option allows you to track your return online and provides fast service, with packages arriving at our facility in 2 to 5 business days. Find a UPS shipping location.
  
  Returns sent via US Postal Service arrive at our facility in 3 to 8 business days, depending on your location. No online tracking information is available for packages shipped via US Mail.

  2. Print a Prepaid Return Label
  Please note: L.L.Bean Visa Cardmembers receive free returns when using our prepaid return labels: for all others, your refund will be reduced by $6.50.
  
  Prepaid label for US or Puerto Rico
  Ship your return via UPS (our preferred method) or US Postal Service.
  
  Prepaid label for APO/FPO or US Territories (PDF)
  Returns from these locations must be sent via US Postal Service.
  
  If you choose not to use our prepaid label, you will be responsible for paying all return shipping costs.

We'll need to charge you the purchase price, but once we receive your return, we'll credit you for the cost of the original item.
  
  Returning Items Delivered by Freight
  If you discover a problem after you've accepted delivery, please contact us at 800-341-4341. We may be able to resolve the problem without requiring you to return the item. Please retain all packaging material until you're completely satisfied with the condition and performance of your purchase. Doing so will make it easier to return the item if necessary.
  
  If you do wish to return or exchange a freight item, please contact us at 800-341-4341. We will arrange the return shipment with a freight company.
  
  ¹Free return shipping is available exclusively to L.L.Bean Visa Cardmembers. Recipients who are not L.L.Bean Visa Cardmembers are not eligible for this benefit. Free return shipping requires the use of a designated L.L.Bean return label. Free return shipping does not apply to items requiring freight shipping, Direct to Business items or items returned from US Territories or international locations. Free return shipping may be restricted if the number of items returned in the prior one year period exceeds the number of items purchased within that time.   Please note: If the item was purchased within the last four years, our Canadian customs broker will submit a claim form for duty and taxes to Revenue Canada on your behalf. We will refund the purchase price, plus any duties and tax charges, directly to you.
