Love the cut of these jeans. They are rather slim in the hips which are just fine for me. I have them in indigo and white. I wish the fabric of the whites had the same feel as the indigo. By comparison the whites are heavier and a stiffer fabric. Hope the same styling will be available in a corduroy or twill for fall. Also would like to see them available in a short length. Tried the petites but they were too short in the rise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by yourmajesty A true straight fit FINALLY!
First note - the colour of the light wash jeans are more greyish than they appear in the picture (not so much a white washed look), and they are a lighter weight jean, making them excellent for spring/summer.
The fit is a true straight. I have a hard time finding properly fitting jeans, as they generally are too big in the hips and inner thigh, and at the back of the waist. The length was perfect (my legs are ~33" long), and the size 0 is true to size.
If you are built long and lean like a tom-boy, consider these jeans, and any other Signature pant. I have purchased now three pairs from the Signature line and am very happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnimalPoet I usually like only skinnies, but I like these!!!!
I bought these months ago, but forgot to review 'em. I am 5'3" -- weight fluctuates between 99 and 104 libs. I wear 0 or 2 jeans, petite or reg, depending on manufacturer and style. Size 2P is perfect in the Bean Signature skinned - In the Signature straight, however, I wear O. They inseam worked out for me because I am right in the petite-regular cutoff point. Bottom line: I love the fit. Straight jeans are usually too loose through hips and thigh and calf for my liking: these fit just right. I bought the lightest rinse: washed. This was precisely what I was looking for. I am happy with these. I was not precisely sizing down, since both 0 and 2 are my sizes, but if you take 2 in the skinnies here, you might like 0 in the straights. Just my experience! I love the Signatures jeans! I hope there will be more and more bleached and medium washes to come!

These jeans are slim fit and flattering. I have purchased this jean in two other colors and this is the best wash.

The design makes the thin fabric wrinkle between the waist band and the rear pockets. The thin single layer of fabric can't hold up the double layer of fabric above it. The look is cheap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by beenaweena at first happy, but...
When my order arrived, I tried on the petite-sized (I'm 5'5", 120#, 34-26-34) jeans and my thoughts were at first happy, but, (behold the underlying truth) I noticed that within an hour, the dye had transferred to my hands. The jeans began to look stretched-out as well as droopy in the rear. As expected, once off, the jean's dye bled onto all areas they were in contact with. Bummer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MintTea summer weight jeans
This pair of jeans was thinner than I anticipated from the price. It's summer weight and would be nice during the summer. The fit is good.
I'd love to have a thicker, higher-rise version of basic jeans though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoveArt Fit well and stylish
I am the hardest to find a pair of jean that fits. These stylish jeans fit me! According to the size chart, I am between P4-6. I read the previous review mentioning one size down fit her fine, so I bought P4. I am glad I did. The jeans look very flattering, literally look just like the photo except for the waist band gaps tiny bit on the rear side. But a belt helps. The waist band seemed to be considerately designed, it fits comfortably my middle-age waist! Legs are not baggy, not too slim, just the way I like to look slimming and stylish! I was looking for light weight jeans to wear through warm weather and this is perfect. As I grow older, I find dark jeans look neater and more appropriate especially for outing, so that's what I got. I am ordering another pair.

For context for ny sizing and style comments I'll share that I'm 5'4 and a little bit tall, 108 lbs and carry weight in my middle. I'm an LLBean fan for tops, wear an XS in those or 2 if number sized, but LLB 4's in pants, the smallest available for most, are too short in the rise for me in Petites and in Regulars just too big. I was eager to try these signature jeans because based on the comments of another review who described her body as mine for where she carries weight, I thought they might fit. Since I have short legs (29" inseam) and always wear flats (I have MS), I tried both a 2P and a 2R. The 2P was far too small. The 2R fit perfectly, although had I kept them I would have needed to have them hemmed as they were about 3" too long. But the problem for me was that these pants are very low rise. The description says low rise, but based on another reviewers comments I thought they might work. I wasn't a fan of low rise pants when I was younger and in my 50's, I'm for sure not wanting the low rise. Had these been designed to be mid rise or higher, I'd have said they were a keeper. But if you like low rise pants, these are well made and seem to run generously sized in waist if my body fit is any indicator. Also a note that the denim weight seems great for three season wear, spring - summer - fall.
So two things would be on my "wish list" for LLB to do. 1) Introduce size 2's in more pant styles. 2) Offer Regular sized pants in a short inseam options.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BeanfanWest Dark jeans marred by contrast stitching on legs.
Not shown on the website is the gold top-stitching down the outside of each leg. Very odd.. I already returned the the light color which look like mom jeans; and white is not practical for me. Sigh. They almost got it right. Why would they do this to a nice pair of jeans?
