I love these boots, They are warm and stylish. However, it takes so long to put them on AND take them off that they are more of a nuisance than it is worth. They need to have a zipper on the side in addition to the laces to make them more practical.

I bought these boots 2 years ago and returned them :( I loved the way they looked but I don' have 20 minutes in the morning to lace footwear. Seems a natural step would be to put a zipper in them so once you have the laces where you want them you can zip in and out of the easily. Let me know when they do and I'll immediately purchase another pair! - I'd even pay an additional 50 bucks for the zip version :)

During a visit to your flagship LLBean store in Freeport, Maine this past weekend, I spotted the iconic, tall LLBean hunting boot. When I reached for the boot and discovered it was lined in shearling - I knew that I had found the ultimate winter boot! Luxury, extreme comfort, and superb craftsmanship that LLBean is famous for. Sizing was easy - I normally wear a 7.5 and I went down 1/2 size to a 7. They really are the best boots I have ever bought, and worth every penny. Thank you!
Now.......if you would just make these tall boots with a removable Gore-Tex liner - I would buy a pair for bird hunting (hint, hint). Brown please :)

I purchased them for my daughter, who loves to trudge through the snow and mud. She loves them! They are warm, great looking, and easy to maintain. I highly recommend them!

Function and fashion in one. Laced up to the top on first try. TIP: fold back jeans or pants to well above ankle and continue to pull tongue up while lacing for a no-rub fit. True to size with a medium-thick sock. These boots are everything I was looking for ... warmth, flexibility at the ankle, and usefulness in deep snow!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Iheartmybean they hurt my feet!
I really really wanted to love these boots. However, once laced up (that took forever) and walking around they killed my foot around the bottom part of the tongue. Very sad! On the other hand you don't really need to size down for this boot as they run pretty true to size : )

Rated 3 out of 5 by AMotleyFool Warm but too tall!
When I first saw the description I thought that these boots would be perfect for walking in the brutal Chicago winters! Yet, once I received it and tried it on, I found that it was too bulky and tall for my liking. The boots were warm enough, but too cumbersome to put on and take off. The laces were extremely difficult to maneuver and my leg and feet felt suffocated! I am returning these and am ordering the shorter boots instead. It's a pity--I really liked the plush shearling that lined the entire feet.

Totally satisfied: super warm, super comfortable, look good. If anything, I'm going to have to hold off for colder weather, because sometimes my feet get really warm, which never happens! These boots were exactly what I hoped they would be. One suggestion I would make, is to attach the bottom half of the tongue to the body of the boot, like the classic Redwings are made, so no snow gets in/the tongue doesn't move around, but I really haven't had a problem with either happening, so it's not really an issue. I've also gotten numerous compliments on them already, which is always nice. :)

THE BEST BOOTS I've ever had!!! Chicago winters can't make my feet cold anymore! Even with 30 inches of snow on the ground (no kidding) my feet and legs stayed toasty warm.
