Well, it's made in China, and the tolerances are iffy. Followed the directions, tightened everything, and the main door rubbed and squeaked against the frame of the cabinet. By loosening the bolts, we were able to give the door more play, but it's disappointing.
The piece looks good; it's just mass produced and a pain in the butt to put together. And when the pieces don't quite come together after three hours of effort, you're just left frustrated and angry.
I'd say either spend more money on a better piece, or buy something much cheaper that you know is going to be "off" but still functional.
In other words, I feel like I paid a high price for a mediocre piece.

The cabinet arrived in good shape and the directions for assembly were pretty clear. The one thing to know is that you'll definitely need two people to assemble it. It's sturdy and well made. I now have four pieces from the LL Bean cottage furniture line and I'm happy with all of them.

I love the style of the cabinet. It is sturdy and we'll made. 3 simple things however. 1- the knobs (painted wood) are not the same as the knobs (silver metal) on the cousel. 2- there were one or two small spots where paint needed touch up ... one from me from assembly and although well packed one it came with. A small amount of touch up paint would be nice..3 - the door hardware was not inserted properly, making door attachment very difficult. More care needs to be taken in hardware installation.
