I just purchased the new orange, blue, and white striped poplin dress, and I love it! As per the usual poplin dress, it has some great features: fully lined skirt, bra strap snaps, and pockets (which don't add bulk).
Although it looks coral online, it's more red than pink in person, almost a red-orange with a blue jean color blue and white stripes. I love the belt, which has a middle blue stripe surrounded by the red orange.
As for fit, it fits per typical signature dress style. I wear 10-12 in most clothing stores and the 10 here fits me perfectly. Most of my weight is in my hips and the folds flatter this very well. The snug top would be the only concern but the 10 is perfect for me (I am a 36D if helpful). It fits exactly like the other poplin dresses. I am 5'8" and it hits the top of my knees, which makes it great for work!
This pattern is a bit more casual/dressed down which makes it perhaps less of a formal work dress (some of the other poplin patterns can pass as more formal better), but with some nice shoes and cardigan, I think it's great for my work environment (business casual- no jeans/sneakers allowed).

This dress makes me feel slim, elegant and ready for anything. I'm 5'10", wide hipped and long legged. Fit is a challenge for me, but this dress is nearly perfect. Length is at my knee. I love the lining and the flow of this dress. The fabric is substantial enough to hide bra rolls, etc. My only complaint is the waistline, which may be a tad off center for my waist and feels a little restrictive. It doesn't show but I'm just a little uncomfortable at the waistline, as it doesn't seem to flow with me. Because the dress is otherwise perfect, I still gave the dress four stars. I bought the dress in chambray, also. Please introduce more fabrics! Also, can you please make the waistline more forgiving?

Rated 3 out of 5 by CharliesMom2 too short - doesn't work for long torsos
I soooo wanted to love this dress. I thought it was pricey, but the fabric is solid, it's fully lined, and it has pockets. A classic look and seems very high quality. I always hesitate when buying one piece dresses, but when I saw that this had a self tie sash, I thought that was my dream come true.
Not so. It's not made for tall women. It fell several inches above the knee, which is different than how it looks on the models, but I can live with that - the length was still classy looking. But what I didn't see anywhere in the description is that there's a seam separating the fitted bodice from the flared skirt, and on me, that seam lands about 3 inches below my breasts instead of at my natural waist. So that self-tie sash I was so excited about either sits on that seam where it's intended (making the dress look baby-doll style and too little girlish) or I can remove it from the loops and tie it at the waist, making the dress look lumpy because of the bunched up fabric between the seam and the sash.
LL Bean, if you ever offer this dress in tall sizes - longer proportions, not just a longer hem - I'll buy one in every color. But for now, I'm sad to say it will have to go back because it's not a good fit for my body type.

The dress fit like it was tailor made and I fell in love. Then I put it in the washer using delicate cycle as the tag requires. The dress came out so wrinkled I had no choice but to iron it. Part of the problem is that the thread holding the dress to the liner is so long that it wrapped itself around other clothes. Had the liner been attached in several places instead of with just two 2" threads, it probably would have dried without looking like it had been wrung out. So very disappointed that it now requires "extensive" ironing. Ironing is difficult because the liner is attached; but not sufficiently to iron as one piece. You can't iron as two pieces because it is attached. Can't win..

Loving the Signature Poplin Dress! I am 5'4" and have an athletic build (36"x29"x39"). I originally ordered a size 10 and a size 12. I kept the 10. Given my height, the hem hits just below my knee but not above it. The poplin fabric with the mallard print is a lovely quality woven cotton (soft, lightweight, and somewhat silky to the touch), and the dress is fully lined with pockets. From reading other reviews, it looks like the chambray is not completely lined in the skirt (probably due to the weight difference in the chambray/poplin cotton). My dress definitely does NOT have tulle in it. The neckline is certainly modest, and it grazes my neck but does not press against it. If you know you have a naturally high waist, you may want to rethink this dress due to where the neckline falls. Otherwise, it is a beautiful pattern for dressing up or dressing down in a classic silhouette that makes me feel slim and curvy at the same time. Highly recommend; will buy in other colors. Perfect for Easter Mass, brunch with parents, and Derby parties. Will be wearing it on all of those occasions! Thank you, LLBean! Xo!

Love, love, love this dress. I am 5'7", 130 lbs and the 2 fits like a glove. It is such a classic shape that pretty much will look good on anyone, though women with larger chests might have issues with the fit since it doesn't have any give. I love the boatneck and the length in particular. The hem hits me right above the knee, which makes it a very work appropriate dress without looking frumpy or needing to wear heels because of an awkward length.
I tried on the navy, the chambray and the mallard print and ended up with the mallard. The navy was actually my favorite, it made me feel like Audrey Hepburn. But it also felt a bit more formal than the other two, which is not what I was looking for. The duck print is adorable and just understated enough and will be a perfect spring dress to wear to my business casual work or on a weekend out.
A note: the green looks a little darker in person than it does in the photo online, but it is a beautiful spring color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kaylakla Only for curvy women!
When I first removed the dress from the package, it was wrinkled and took some serious ironing to get all of the creases out of the dress. Then, upon trying it on, it did not flatter my thin frame. You can't tell from the image above, but the dress has tulle on the inside to give you a fuller figure. However the waistline hit oddly on my frame and led to a really unflattering dress. I loved this dress the moment I saw it, but it is not meant for a 5'9", 120 lbs woman.

I have road tested this dress in every color and pattern offered- it is a classic fit, beautiful style, perfect warm weather dress! Style best suited for those with a smaller top and waist. Please offer it in a solid black!

I get more compliments on this dress than any other piece of clothing I have ever owned. I've had it for about 3 years. It is so comfortable, the perfect length - easy to wear. Complete strangers ask me about it! I would love it in some other basic colors. The navy is timeless.

This dress has a beautiful silhouette that is seriously flattering, and it looks just as good with the sash as without it. LL Bean did not cheap out on the waist construction and try to make up for it with a belt, as some retailers would do. I bought this in the grey, orange and white dot, which is a really cool pattern: black and white dots are classic but it gets a little boring. This is a close fit on me in my regular size but not small enough to warrant sizing down, and I imagine the poplin will loosen up a little. I'm 5'3 and it's just below my knee. Highly recommended at full price.
