Rated 5 out of 5 by InWDC Great Sofa for Casual Use
We have had our lightweight studio sofa for six years and it has been great for casual use. It would not serve most people as a living room sofa. We use ours in our little boy's bedroom. We can sit on it and chat or hold a baby. Folded out it is fine for a night or two for a casual guest. The sofa is shockingly light -- you can easily move it with one hand. The sofa is small in depth and width and well suited for small spaces. The fun denim look suits the its casual nature.
Some limitations: The seat is shallow, something I sought because I did not want to use a lot of space in the room. If you want to comfortably lie on the couch you will need to remove the back cushions to have a comfortable width. When folded out there is no place to tuck in a fitted sheet so plan on using two flat sheets. The seat cushions are too firm to sit for hours and hours. Except for the back cushions, the fabric cannot be removed for cleaning.
So use this couch in a bedroom or a playroom or a dorm room, but not in a living room. Fold it out for a young visitor to sleep on, but not for your grandmother.

For us this couch was not satisfactory. Cushions bottomed out quickly and sleep feature lacked depth and was uncomfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by monumentgirl Medium Comfort Level-pullout needs mattress
This couch offers medium comfort level for "skinny" people, heavier people may have problems. The more you weigh the faster you sink and loose support. The pullout was comfortable the first few times sleeping on it. After it broke in you feel the wood frame. An additional mattress like an air mattress may be need and will help you get out of the bed being at a higher level. Works best for younger people that don't weigh to much. Good for occasional overnight visitors. I feel it's overpriced!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BusyMomandGrandma I like the couch
We are happy with the birch gray color and contemporary but unique design. Construction is solid and comfortable. We purchased this item primarily as a guest bed with the use of a queen size air mattress to raise the sleeping surface to the height of a regular bed. This set up is perfect for our needs and much more comfortable than the convertible couch we had. I do not agree with the only other review posted for this item. It is everything LLBean said it was. No disappointments. No surprises. And No Assembly Required--except to set the back cushions in place. Delivery took less than 5 weeks. Be sure to be home to accept delivery, which is only to the curb.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lambsev NOT a functional sofa
This is a relatively functional bed, although not exceptional even as a bed. But as a sofa it is "EPIC FAIL." I weigh 210, not exceptionally heavy for an american man. I cannot use this sofa daily without being frustrated and annoyed by the poor design. After sitting for only 1/2 the cushions begin to sink in, and if the movie is two hours they have nearly bottomed out. But the worst part is that because the cushions are not sewn in or attached by any means, causing the folded cushions to continually dislodge away from the back of the sofa and the pillows begin to disappear into the gap created. So the whole mess needs constant adjustment after just a short time. And the pillows have an annoyingly uncomfortable zipper tab.
