These shoes were a gift to a friend. She absolutely loved these shoes and esp. the rubber tread. Will buy them for myself next time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TrixieCat Fabric at ankle pills
Due to our mild winter I have only worn these shoes, which are very comfortable, approximately 10 times and the fabric around the ankle is pilling. The pilling started after a couple wearings. I do wear them with pants so perhaps that is what is rubbing to create this pilling. At first I pulled off a few of the pills, but it is continuing. Makes the shoe look very cheap. I'm disappointed because I have several comfort mocs and they are great. Would not recommend these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by etoiline Fine fit, could use a thicker insole
First off, thanks to LL Bean for having forest green shoes. On first wear, the leather was pretty stiff, but they're easier to pull on after a few days. The sole is nicely grippy on slippery sidewalks. The fit is fine, if a little on the big side (which I don't mind, means I can wear heavier socks when it's colder). The knitted lining and insole are warm, though the insole could be thicker--it's easy to feel when you walk over rocks on the street, for example. I can also feel the sewn tag on the heel of the insole, which is sometimes annoying. I will probably pick up a new insole for these at some point to get a little more cushioning and some more arch support. But they look good and fit well so I'm happy with these.

I love these. They are comfortable and look great. I have had several pairs over the years and can wear them most of the winter without feeling like I am wearing clunky winter boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrBlades Comfortable on the feet
Bought these as a replacement for a pair of pro pets that I use as a quick slip on and off shoe for around the house. These shoes are well made with a soft lining. The rubber sole has good traction and tread. There is good width and length - I actually took a half size smaller than I usually need. Support is excellent. Not sure how the suede will hold up as far as stain resistance but I don't plan on using these when it is wet outside.
I would recommend these shoes.

I wanted these to replace an old shoe that is almost worn out. It was fleece lined and this is wool/primalof lined. It will take a few wears to get it into the shape of the old shoes (fit wise). Looks really good, has a loose fit at toes which I wanted. Warm and easy on and off.
We will see how they handle wet and icy weather, should do well.

These are nice shoes and seem to be well made. They aren't overly padded though so if that is something you are looking for, these probably wouldn't work for you. I have worn them for an entire day and not had any problems, they didn't require any breaking-in or anything. Well done LL Bean!

I needed a good, comfortable, at least semi waterproof shoe. I am very pleased with this selection to satisfy all these requirements, Also able to use my custom inserts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BetsyPDX Merino PrimaLoft Moc -- disappointing
These are nice-looking shoes for general walkers and easy hikes, but they are disappointing for two reasons:
1. They are difficult to get on, as the top is cut fairly high, and the gussets have virtually no give, so getting them on is a project. And that is a barrier every time I go to put them on.
2. They're very comfortable in length and width, but they have zero arch support and no heel cushioning. Doesn't work well for my feet.
So I would not recommend them, but they do seem well made and might be fine for someone else.
