Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisCT1 Great Kayak
We purchased 2 of these kayak packages late this past winter. They came on time and in great condition. Our first excursion was a 5 hour trip from Long Island Sound up a river to its end and back to the Sound in June. The kayaks handled beautifully with extremely straight tracking and moved easily through the water. My wife and I are novices and even though the trip was a total of 12 miles we found it so easy to do. We ate our lunches, while floating in our kayaks, under trees along the bank and it was magical. The kayaks gave us a views of beautiful wildlife such as Osprey, Oyster Catchers, Snowy Egrets, Sand Pipers, Fiddle Crabs, Canadian Geese and more.
On the return to the Sound the wind had picked up quite a bit. As we got closer to the mouth of the river the water was no longer calm but had 1 foot waves but the kayaks handled them easily.
If you are looking for something that is easy to use and cuts the water easily purchase these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gearjunkie76 Pungo 120 package
Got the Pungo 120 kayak last year, along with my gf's manatee 12. Wanted to wait until we have have them out a few times before writing a review. We have had our kayaks out probably over 10 times this season so far. I am very pleased with my Pungo 120, the 12ft length cuts through the water very well, and is even stable enough to do a little modest fishing. Greater capacity of the 12ft'er allows you to carry along more gear on your trips. The console on this unit is nice to keep some items close at hand in the cockpit, and even has a small dry storage. This cockpit attaches with a shock cord around the cockpit ring and is easily dislodged by a swift knee if you need to get out in a hurry. The cockpit cover keeps critters out while in storage, and the paddle that comes with the package is a perfect length and has a couple of nice features. The paddle comes apart for easy storage and transport, and it has cups to keep the water from travelling down the paddle to your hands and in the cockpit while in use. This kayak is stable enough and I've had it in some pretty big windswept waves, now I'm confident enough to take on some moving water. A+++

Rated 5 out of 5 by LizGinNY Best thing ever!! Absolutely in love.
I don't even know where to start the list of good things!
-Lightweight and easy to carry, with smooth, sturdy edges and rugged carry handles
-The colors are even nicer in person
-All edges smoothed and rounded, with all plastic shavings vaccuumed/removed from boat
-The easily removable dashboard perfectly holds your valuables (keys/wallet/phone) in a watertight compartment. The left cupholders fits the standard 32oz Nalgene perfectly, and the right cupholder fits... other beverages ;) securely.
-Foot holds seem durable, and are extremely easy to adjust while seated in the boat.
-This is, by far, the best kayak seat I've ever been in. It's adjustable in every way you could think of, with easy icons that tell you what each control does, and it's incredible comfortable.
-The boat tracks extremely well, thanks to its somewhat more defined keel as compared to similar kayaks. This contributes to its efficient movement. I feel that these move faster than other 12' recreational kayaks I've used.
-Very sturdy and does not feel "tippy" even with taller/bigger kayakers with less experience. I bring friends who've never kayaked and they comfortably and easily maneuver.
-The bow sits at a good height in the water, so that the wind doesn't change your direction easily.
-The rear storage is perfect. There's a watertight wall behind the seat. There's just enough space between the seat and the wall for a bag to be within reach. Then everything from the wall back is watertight storage. I easily fit a beach mat, beach towel, book, change of clothes, and lunch pack in the rear storage.
-There's enough room between your feet and in the bow to comfortably put lots more gear. (I'm 5'5" though).
-The elastics are strong and durable to hold even more gear (or your dirty flip flops from the shore!)
The paddle is lightweight, floats on the water if dropped, and has good drip rings which stop most water from coming down your arms.
The cockpit cover may take two sets of hands to secure in place (think fitted sheet on a large bed), and is not 100% watertight, but it works perfectly to keep out bugs, debris, critters, etc.
The ONLY two concerns I have:
-There are no drain holes/plugs. That's just illogical. Fortunately, the drip rings on the paddle keep you fairly dry... but still, that just doesn't make sense to me.
-The seat has two elastics which come off of its back and secure it to the bungees on the back of the boat. The plastic hook tore off of that the very first time I went to connect it to the boat. However, that's an easy glue-fix, and if that fails, LL Bean guarantees everything, so it's no biggie at all.
