Good quality and 'functionality' in every regard: pockets - for 'carry', roominess and moveability, warmth, stitching, elbow reinforcement. Luv the large game pocket in the back - multi-functional usage.Bought the 'walnut' color - more natural, regular XL equals a tall/large....I'm 6'2', 200 lbs...great fit and I could still put another layer inside. The collar and my beard get along great....like a continuation of same. This 'cruiser' equates to more versatility outdoors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NYreviewer Sleeves too short
I a 6'4" tall. I bought the the XL Tall version of this and the sleeves were way too short. I've never had an issue like this with any of their "tall" designated clothing. Perhaps I got a bad one. Returned to the store.

True to form this jacket is quite warm. i am 6foot 2 and 290 lbs and ordered the xxl tall and it fits fine with 2 layers underneath and good sleave length.HOWEVER there is 1 flaw and that has to do with the upper pockets. They are extremely hard to access and seem to be stitched into the upper seams somehow ,so i just use the lower pockets for my cell phone keys etc. instead. Also i do love the lining of the side hand pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LovesSales Fantastic coat, the new fav for hubby!
Purchased this coat in the walnut, which is a great color! Even nicer than the description and pictures show. The lining in the sleeves makes is easy to put on, the Sherpa inside is so WARM! So far, have counted a total of SEVEN pockets, great for his phone and all the other things guys carry! It is a fantastic LL Bean quality coat.
The size was very spot on as well. Thank you.

This is high quality in every respect and a positive bargain. The lining is like sheep wool and traps a lot of air to keep you warm.
Well cut and comfortable when you move. The collar without any hood is really great.
The pockets hold stuff due to extra material at the sides, and the upper ones are very well protected by the flaps over the buttons.
The inside wallet pocket could be a little larger, and a rawhide "pull" on the main zipper would have been good, but that is easily taken care of.

Seems well made, and I found no bad seams or sloppy patterning. The insulation is interesting thick and sort of fibrous; almost reminds me of the old lamb's wool leather coats. The "Sherpa" just traps a great deal of air.
The pockets are well designed; they're not true military style with big gussets, but there is enough material at the sides that you can put something in, and the coat doesn't look or feel stretched. The inside wallet pocket is a tad small.
The bottom pocket buttons are a tight fit, I'd leave them unbuttoned. The upper pockets aren't buttonable, nor need they be, because the overlapping "bar" prevent car keys or a cell from falling out.
Cuffs for me are not overly long, and the length is surprising; it doesn't look short, but it permits a lot of freedom squatting or raising your legs high.
I take a 46 Sport Jacket or Suit Coat, but the "L" is large enough for me with three layers on; the "XL" was a bit oversized, with shoulder seams hanging down onto the upper arm, and too much space about the waist.
Darned good coat and a positive steal price-wise.

I just received my XXL Tall jacket in Shale Gray and am very happy with the purchase. The jacket's fit is true to size. It's stylish with a nice lining to keep me warm. The color of the jacket is really no where near a gray shade. I would call the color more of a faded forest green that has a hint of teal to it. Perhaps over time and with laundering the color may fade to have a hint of gray? I am actually quite pleased with the color. No complaints, here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jtvt Sherpa Lined Cruiser
The coat is fantastic. As others have reviewed the color is a nice green/gray. I'm 6'2" 190 lbs and the large tall fits great. The Sherpa liner is just the right weight. Another great feature is the thinsulate (quilted) lined sleeves. The cruiser slips on and off with ease....love it. The cruiser also has both a zipper and buttons, and plenty of pockets including an inner zippered pocket. Overall a really nice coat. I'm impressed with the quality. Thanks LL Bean.

I bought two of these jackets for my husband, one in each color, because he likes them so much and wears them all the time. He appreciates how rugged and warm they are. Built to last for sure.

I purchased this coat for my husband for Christmas. He's 5' 8" and weighs 158 lbs. The button-adjustable cuffs just didn't make the very long sleeves stay up on his wrists. My husband has average to longer arms for his height, and the cuffs still rested mid-thumb with his arms down by his side. He's a busy fellow and can't spend all day pushing his sleeves up. Unfortunately, we had to return the coat. I'd also like to see 100% wool or cotton work coats offered by LL Bean. I currently have to buy these elsewhere.
