I ordered small petite, and the size was perfect. Ordered Dark
Cayenne, and the color is a warm, rich shade. Very fashionable.
It has a flattering slight fit throughout the body but allows space for a fleece vest on cooler days. The jacket stows away into its own pocket. After studying it, I called a product specialist, and he explained exactly how to do that. This may be my best L. L. Bean purchase ever!

I bought this jacket for a recent trip to China. It kept me nice & warm in 30 mph winds and down to about 50 degrees. The others who wore fleeces and sweatshirts were not cozy and comfortable like I was. It also rolled up small enough to fit easily in my day bag (although I couldn't figure out how to get it to fold up into its own pocket). Definitely a good buy!

by bigredtruck Easy to pack, warm
Just days before leaving on a 2 week trip to SE Alaska I realized that jackets in my closet weren't going to work - too bulky to pack, not water resistant, too warm or not warm enough. So I compared a few options at LLBean.com and decided this was what I really wanted and it would be useful at home too (NE Tennessee).
The Blue Pine is a bit more green than I expected, but still looks great, goes with lots of things in my closet.
It has a flattering shape, not tight or too relaxed. My regular size is Medium so went with that. Perfect over t-shirts, with a scarf, room enough for a light sweater. Easy to layer a raincoat over the top if necessary.
This is a light weight jacket, when I unpacked and held it up I could see light through the back. But it's warm! I wore it in temps 40-65 over t-shirts, on a ferry, at the beach, to an outdoor wedding (yes, in AK!). It packs into its pocket and fits in a backpack or even my purse.
The zipper could be a bit stronger, a couple times I didn't get it aligned properly and had to start again. But I trust LLBean and their guarantee!

love this jacket but wish it came in bright colors. Bought 2 without hood and one with. Well made w wind guard near zipper so no drafts. Light weight and warm. Works better than the sweater jacket which came in a great yellow but was drafty.

I am really pleased with this purchase. The fit is true to size, color is fun and the weight is perfect for chilly spring weather. I am considering another color.

This jacket adds nice warmth for Northen Michigan spring weather, but without alot of bulk or weight. It layers nicely under any outer layers if additional protection is needed. Fits well over a light fleece. Good freedom of movement. Light raindrops don't appear to soak in. Stuffs compactly in a carry-on bag without wrinkling.

I requested one of these for Christmas because I was looking for a lightweight, warm liner. I received one in a lovely copper color and it was so attractive, I was known to wear it as a sweater throughout the winter. It is lightweight but seems to work whether you want to ward off a chill or use as an added liner when you go outside in -20F. I purchased my usual size and found it roomy enough to wear over winter layers but still slip easily under a coat.
I loved this so much and it's so much more affordable than comparative brands, that I splurged and got myself another in Blue Pine to wear this spring. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SamFlo Amazingly lightweight for so warm a jacket
I took this jacket with me on a trip where the weather was known to be variable--and it was a lifesaver! Lightweight to carry during the warm days and surprisingly warm when the evening turned chilly. Comfortable, with zip pockets, this handy and good-looking jacket folds into its own pocket and zips closed! A great investment!

The only con - they do not explain how to "packaway" the jacket. Instructions should be included. I searched online and found something on yourtube. Runs Big, you could size down. I'll layer underneath. Jacket is roomy, warm, but not too warm,
Perfect for travel.
