Rated 5 out of 5 Borrowed my husband's and had to have one!
I recently borrowed my husbands medium duffle, and loved it. I was easy able to pack for 5 days. I read other reviews on how clothing shifted even when fastened with he straps. I use packing cubes, which not only kept my clothes pressed and neat, but allowed me to pack more and kept things from shifting. I actually had extra room when I had packed. I also bought the smaller carry on to try and am looking forward to using it next week. The medium is a perfect sized carry on with no need to check it, even on smaller aircraft. I also purchased it at 10:30am on Monday and it arrived Tuesday afternoon. I realized that it is because I am close to Maine, but WOW!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sundaze1009 Quick to Load but topples over
I purchased this set a couple of years ago for a trip to Las Vegas. I liked how it was easy to load, the pockets on the side, and that is was different looking than the other suitcases that most people carry. The main draw back and complaint with the luggage is that it topples over no matter how you try to carefully load it. The feet that the bag is supposed to sit on are just not stable enough to hold the weight when loaded. This makes it hard to use because in elevators or just trying to get into the hotel room as it will stand up for a second when you let go and then down it goes. I'm sad to say for the cruise I will take in September this luggage will not be going with me as I can't imagine trying to board the ship with luggage that I have to always keep a hand on to keep it upright. It's been durable and still looks great but I can't continue to fight with it not staying upright.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rjk999 Quickload medium duffle & baggage abusers
I bought this in 2009 and in 6 yrs have used it, along with a large day pack, for many trips to many national & foreign destinations with durations up to 8 weeks. This has worked very well, and it has maneuvered rolling or carrying relatively well on planes & on roughened walkways. Of the ca 30 trips, I have checked it through with the airlines only 3x. It came back scratched the first 2x, and the third time they must have dropped something heavy on it as the fabric over the hardened plastic bottom ripped on both sides. LLBean is good about replacing, but I wish there was a way to eliminate baggage handler abuse / damage other than limiting to carry-on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HowdidIgetthisold Best Travel Bag Ever
I can't say enough good things about this bag. I've had it for at least five years now and it goes everywhere with me, whether it's a long weekend or a quick overnight. It's easy for this grandma to carry onboard and lift into the overhead compartments. The huge shoe pocket fits my exercise shoes or my low hiking shoes, keeping the profile of the bag low so it can fit into those compartments without shoe bulk on top. If you're traveling really light, the other side pocket has handy inner compartments for passport, credit cards, wallet, etc.
After years of trying different bags, this is the one for me. What sold me on it in the first place was LL Bean's video about how their wheels are constructed.
The ONLY negative - and it's a only problem because of my lack of planning - is that once the buckles and handles are secured, you have to open them up to get to the inside of the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seminole88 Still Great after Years of Travel
I have had this three-piece set in green for a number of years. It has held up beautifully on lots of trips by air or in the car, and my grown children have frequently borrowed the set for cruise vacations. The zippers and wheels are still in working order. When not in use, the smaller pieces nest inside the larger ones, so it takes up very little storage space.

I love this luggage set!! I bought the set over 10 years ago. I am a frequent traveler and wanted something that worked and also, I could spot at luggage claim among all the other bags (I have the Red).
May favorite things:
1. You can stuff an amazing amount of clothing in it and with it's light weight, you can get it under any 50 lb checked limit.
2. The medium bag is perfect for my weekly travel to work. It holds everything I need and with the inside and outside straps, nothing shifts (for those of you looking for wrinkle free, well, I haven't found a bag yet that you can stuff and it arrives wrinkle free - That is what irons are for.
3. The medium bag fits in the overheads of the planes (even some of the smaller ones, with its soft sides it squishes quite well.
4. The small bag has a nice top pocket to put drinks, food etc. which won't leak onto other items as it is a seperate lined section. It is also a nice size (square# with many pockets for ipod, ipad, magazines etc.
1. The large bag tends to tip forward
2. The nylon over the plastic corners does tend to tear #medium bag#, however it never became a problem as it did not continue. The bag stayed durable, though a bit frayed.
3. I also like to place a bag on top and this bag does not allow you to do that, but it is a duffle and that isn't a normal design requirement.
4. The small bag should have outside sleeve to slide over the handle of a larger bag.
I am on my second medium bag. This is only due to a bag can just take so much abuse then it finally gives up #though it does still work, just worn out)
I would highly recommend this set as it is functional, lightweight, durable for the frequent traveler and offers a nince selection of colors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by limerickgal70 Unstable, doesn't roll well
Bought this for my trip I was ready
But the wheels are too small and unsteady
And when I rolled o'er a stick
This thing totally flipped
And it made a big mess on the jetway

Rated 5 out of 5 by ESL1 Going strong. Bought a second one.
It's a duffle, so it's not the same as a rigid case. If you don't like duffles, you probably won't be happy. Tends to bulge outward when packed full. Side handle would be useful but not practical with the side pockets, which I really like. No problem packing for a week long trip. Light weight. Love the way the top opens. Easier to pack than most other duffles. Putting another case on top will tend to "crush" the top, but what do you expect with a soft case? Only thing I really don't like is that the outside top zipper compartment is basically inaccessible with the cross straps tightened. I usually fly on the smaller planes so it's been gate checked many times and never had any wear and tear issues. Going strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ficelle Love the Color and Style
The medium rolling duffle is very easy to get around with and lift into the overhead; pretty good capacity; and I just love the color (green with orange trim) and style. Very cool and low-key. I wish they would use this material for more items. The zippers work fine, you just have to be a little careful. I'm going to get the extra-large as well.
Originally I bought the matching messenger bag, but it was very poorly designed (no outside back pocket; the cover flap would not lay flat when opened to the back; no way to just stick your magazine in easily without opening the whole thing), so I returned it. But they should try it again, in this fabric. A messenger bag is more functional (for me) than the squarish carry-on bag that comes in the set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coolgirl9 great carryon luggage ever
It is amazing how much you can load staff to the 22x14x10 carry on, we will go to Europe for 16 days, the carry on can load 14 days of clothes and 3 pairs of light shoes. My daughter and I will only use this carryon and small backpack. I would highly recommend this carry on, I bought 3 of them
