So comfortable and my feet don't sweat! I work on cement floors. Cotton socks just don't seem to do it for me anymore. These are a winner because even in hot weather you don't have any discomfort. The only bad part is these are out of stock - I was going to order a 2nd or 3rd pair of black large and none!! I hope these are not discontinued, I'd give 4-stars because of this but it's not the sock's fault..

Rated 5 out of 5áby BrooklynNY Great sock for everyday use and work
These wonderful socks are made of 39 percent merino wool, 20 percent Primaloft polyester, 39 percent nylon, and 2 percent spandex. The midweight version is made of 39 percent merino wool, 39 percent Primaloft, 20 percent nylon, and 2 percent spandex. LL BEAN should state this information on their site. These socks stay on my leg extremely well, they breath well, they are comfortable, and they wash and dry well. Although these socks are made partly of wool and primaloft, warm fabrics, the lightweight version is very good in the summer. I have both weights. Although the midweight version may be warm enough for the vast majority of days in the northeast, I much prefer the Cresta and Boot socks from L.L. Bean for the coldest days of the year, as they are much thicker and made mostly of warm and super comfortable merino wool, but these All Sports socks are perfect for work and everyday use. The Cresta and Boot socks do not stay on the leg as well as the All Sports. These are the best socks I ever owned for work.

The sock is gray on the top and black on the bottom, but the black extends up beyond low cut shoes such as deck shoes. Your shoes need to be close to ankle height to have only the gray showing.

As someone who doesn't mind spending, but would never on a pair of socks, I'd have to say they are worth the money. Get 'em.

In preparation for a trip to Disney World, where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking, I searched to buy some new socks that wouldn't make my feet sweat, felt comfortable to wear, stayed "in place" on my lower calf, added cushioning to my step, and could be worn with both sneakers and a casual dress shoe (both in style and fit). After reading the reviews here, I ordered one pair to give them a test run, and was sold after wearing them just 1 day. They passed the test on every criteria that was important to me. By the time of my Disney trip, I had purchased 3 more pair to take with me, and put them to the true test -- 12 hour days of walking around the parks. I had 4 pair available for the 6 days we were in the parks, and wore my traditional white athletic socks on the other 2 days (each day with the same pair of shoes -- LLBean low-cut Pathfinder Hikers). The difference in the way my feet and legs felt at the end of those days was truly significant -- with the LLBean socks I felt very little wear on my legs and feet, whereas with my other socks I couldn't wait to sit down and put my feet up (although I should disclose that my other socks were not brand new). Prior to my trip, based on my recommendation, my wife had also ordered a couple pairs of these socks in the women's version to take with her, and she reported a similar experience of being significantly less tired in her feet and legs on days she wore these socks.
Another thing I like about these socks is their color. I often wear them now with a pair of khakis for work. They pass for a pair of casual dress socks and are much more comfortable to wear.
I think the price is a bit on the high side considering you only get 1 pair. I'm more likely to shop for 3 pairs of socks for the same price. But on the other hand, I have been completely satisfied with them and after roughly 15 wear/wash cycles so far, I haven't seen any signs of them wearing out or change in their performance. I have purchased each pair by cashing in an LLBean Visa coupon or a promo gift card, which for me makes each pair a very good deal. I'm planning to buy more. Can you tell I like these socks? I mean, I'm writing a review about socks. They must be good!
