Rated 5 out of 5áby busybee16 Love this Coat!
I never write reviews but I love this coat so much I had too! I love how this coat offers the right amount of warmth on a chilly day yet can be worn comfortably on warmer days. It really keeps you dry and I love the adjustable hood. It is very stylish too. I just came back from a very wet and chilly weekend in Vermont and I was so glad I had this coat to keep me warm and dry. When I looked at myself in pictures I was very pleased at how it looked on me. Its my" go to" coat and worth every penny!!!

Please make this 3-in-1 so that the primaloft lining (with long sleeves) can be worn by itself -- it would be perfect!!!

Rated 5 out of 5áby lyinlyon Great, lighter weight, 3-season raincoat
I returned a waist-length Gortex rain coat with no lining in exchange for this coat and I'm so glad that I did. I've worn this coat about 10 times already, including in drizzle, downpour, and strong winds. It stands up to being waterproof and wind proof. My only complaint is that the lining (which does zip out) does not extend into the sleeves. This is great in terms of the arms having freedom of movement, but it does mean that my arms are chilly if I don't wear a sweater. The other con of not having the lining in the arms is that if you're in a downpour for an extended period, your arms will remain technically dry (i.e. no water is seeping in), but the material feels cold and slightly damp; it's not actually damp, but having the lining really keeps your torso from feeling the rain at all. Even though this coat has a lining through the body, it's light-weight and condenses down into a packable size. It's not a true "travel" coat that folds into nothing, but it's not bulky.
I'm 5'6" 130 lbs (size 6 in almost all brands outside of LL Bean) and usually I wear an XS in LL Bean sweaters and coats, but this coat runs slimmer in the hips so the Small is the perfect fit, particularly as I want to layer fleece and sweaters underneath it.
The colors pictured online appear drab and matte. In person the deep navy and deep wine are both very attractive and slightly more lively. Deep navy is more of a very dark blue; deep wine is less brownish and more merlot than what is pictured. In my opinion, the dark khaki color is unattractive in person (and I like a classic khaki) because it's a deeper, yellowish khaki, not a classic trench-coat khaki.
I also tried this coat on in the hip-length version and it fit the same and was very flattering, as this one is; however, for $10 more I think it's well worth the investment to have more coverage against inclement weather.
Also, this coat does have sturdy double zippers, which are a must for driving or walking about. There is also a zippered, inner pocket on the left side of the coat. Hand pockets on the outside of the coat do not close. I don't mind this because they do lie flat and I only use them to keep my hands warm, not to store anything.
While this coat is an investment, I think it's well made and it actually costs less than the short, unlined Gortex version I had that left my legs getting soaked. I really recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5áby ActiveMomCanada Warm and waterproof
I had been looking for a truly waterproof raincoat that was Primaloft lined (I had pretty specific requirements!). Lo and behold, I came across this coat from LL Bean. It is exactly what I wanted. It is truly waterproof and has kept me completely dry in downpours (without an umbrella). The zip out Primaloft lining appears to be thin, but is actually very warm and takes this jacket from Summer rain to Fall rain.
I am 5'5'', 116 lbs, and wear the Misses' XSmall. It is a good fit, with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath.

This jacket has a great fit. I've noticed that many manufacturers are cutting the sleeves very narrow, as a result it is difficult to lift your arms. This coat is cut perfectly, I am able to move and it is very well made. I just wish it would come in more interesting colors.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Travelershopper Great Jacket- waterproof and warm
I ordered this jacket for a recent trip to Alaska. I ordered both the jacket and the coat and ended up returning the jacket, as I preferred the length of this coat. Tan color is great and it kept me completely dry and surprisingly warm in 40-50 degree weather. Highly recommend it. Just beware it does run very large. I had to order a size down.

I have had an LL Bean khaki-colored raincoat for years --great fabric, attractive fit with room to wear over sweaters, washable BUT it now has a few stains that won't come out so I ordered this as a replacement. The fabric is not as classy as my old rain coat and feels plasticy. Also, it is a snug fit (I usually wear a medium in LL Bean clothes). Sadly, I have returned it.

Ordered the H2Off Raincoat in size large (which I always order). Fit perfectly! I am 5'6 150 lbs. I was nervous about the fit after reading the reviews but it was great. I ordered the bright blue and the color is beautiful. I live in Winnipeg so wanted an all weather jacket -we don't have a really rainy climate here. But its a nice fabric and should do nicely for rain or shine. I am very pleased with it!

I just received this 3/4 coat, and expect to like it, especially for travel. I need the rain protection, but not all the length that a full-length coat provides. (My suitcase isn't very big.) I ordered two--a XS and an S because other reviewers said the coat runs large. Believe me, it does not! I'm, keeping the XS (5'3/110). There's plenty of room for layers beneath. in fact, from my perspective, this model runs larger than both of my earlier H2Off coats, which I have in size S to get the length. (I do wish it came in fire=-engine red.)

I had an LL Bean raincoat, happily, for years. Someone took it at a party. :-(. I ordered this one when it was on sale, and was delighted to be getting a replacement at last.
Unfortunately, not to be. Much too short for good protection in a heavy rain. Hood not removable.
