Rated 5 out of 5 by Weimom Finally - Perfect Jeans for Me!
I'm 5'2" and 165 lbs. Size 12 Petite was perfect and super comfortable. I love the fabric and quality. I'm in SoCal - hot and dry most of the year. These jeans will be worn year round. I see of lot of jeans that are either too thick or too thin, so I'm planning on buying another pair of these 1912 denims.

I have worn LL Bean jeans for many years and don't shop for jeans anywhere else. The fit of these is fine but the fabric is very light-weight. Rather than denim I would describe this fabric as almost a poplin material. Sadly, I don't expect them to last as long as my other jeans have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ishopbargains Great Jeans for me!
I ordered a pair of these a few months ago and once they arrived, I immediately ordered another. I am 5'8" and weigh 140 lbs. I ordered the size 8 in Med. Tall and they are perfect. The waist sits just a bit lower than some jeans but not too low. They are a bit pricey even on sale but are sooo comfortable. I like them so much that I am sure LL Bean will discontinue them since that's what they did to the jeans I loved 2 years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fairycat Great fit for this 5'5", 150lb, size 10 gal!
I have spent the last few years trying to find a pair of 100% cotton jeans that fit well and don't sit below my belly button or almost up to my armpits (I use to wear Lee jeans but they now only make jeans with lots of spandex, which I dislike because on me, spandex causes the jeans to keep growing and growing . . . ); the LL Bean Double L jeans just didn't work for me - the waist was too high and no matter the size - even tried a 14! - I just couldn't get the waist to close (I'm 5'5", 150 lbs, usually a size 10). The sales clerk at the K of P mall LL Bean store (thanks for your help) suggested I try the 1912 jeans, even though they were made with a small amount of spandex; well, 2 pairs later I'm now purchasing a 3rd pair. Great fit! I love the soft feel of these thinner jeans, they don't feel restrictive or dig into my waist when I sit down. I don't really care one way or the other about the distressed look, but I usually buy the darker style, which makes them look a little dressier with a nice sweater and boots so I can wear them to work (I work at a library and don't usually wear jeans). These jeans look good with sneaks, boots, flats, casual slip ons and my Emu's.

I am very happy with the fit and fabric of these jeans. I ordered an 8 Petite, like I do for other LLB products, and found them true to size. The fabric is nice and soft, like they have been already broken in.
I know that jeans are a personal and sometimes tricky fit for most people, but I really like these as much as some that cost me a LOT more money. My only reservation is the shallow pockets in the front, but overall, these are great for me. I would like to see this style in cords as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by sammyp1415 Big in the waist & look awfull on TO BAGGIE
I got 2 pr of the 1912 jeans one was just a little big in the waist & legs the 2nd pr were even bigger in the waist & baggier legs I ordered then in petite 12 one seems like it was a 14 p some one who made them did them wrong. I don't like pants to tight in the waist & I find if I get them to fit good in the waist there to big in the but . so now I must travel from Deptford to the outlet at Marlton. To send them back cost me shipping. I do like the fit & would try a smaller size ( afraid they would be to small & I'd be back in the same boat)

Rated 3 out of 5 by sklou stretch out after wear
I like the quality of these jeans--the fabric is a light denim cotton with just a bit of spandex--but after wearing them a couple of hours, I can pull them off without unzipping them. Washing and a hot dryer didn't help. So they feel great for the first hour and then they just feel uncomfortably sloppy, on me at least. I'm 140 lbs and purchased a size 12. I would reorder in a smaller size.

The pants look softer and lighter on line than in person. I felt they did not have enough give and were narrower in waist than I prefer. In addition, the rise was a little to high for me. Returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LovesSales Feel good, look good jeans!!!!
Jeans are very generous in the waist and fit great. The larger waist is fine, doesn't bother me. LOVE the fabric being made in the USA!

Rated 3 out of 5 by DivineMissM Well made, but some drawbacks.
These jeans are very well made, but have some drawbacks as far as I'm concerned.
1. Ordered my regular size and one size up. Both were tight in the waist, and there was virtually no difference in waist circumference between the two.
2. Front pockets are much too shallow. I always carry spare keys and change in my pockets, even when I carry a purse.... everything I put in the pockets either wouldn't fit or would fall out.. And forget trying to carry a cell phone. I often go without a purse, but that isn't possible with these jeans.
3. The zipper/fly is extremely short which makes getting in and out of them a bit tricky. Might not be a problem if you have narrow hips.
4. I ordered my regular length, but these were a bit on the short side. If they draw up at all in the wash, I'll have to send them back.
What I liked:
1. The cut of the jeans and the quality of workmanship were excellent.
2. I liked the weight of the fabric -- not too bulky.
Despite the drawbacks, I will keep them to wear around the house. I would recommend them to a friend with a few caveats.
