Rated 3 out of 5 by ShirtShoppingWoman 1912 jeans - fit is perfect, fabric is flimsy
Apparently there are 2 different types of 1912 straight leg jeans; I got these on sale, but see the other has the same name but at regular price. I don't know what the difference is, but I would gladly pay the full price for a nicer fabric. These are just very thin and seem more like denim 'slacks' than jeans. The fit and length is great so far (8 Petite after one washing), but in all other LLBean jeans except for the 100% cotton Double L style, the stretch material in the fabric always leaves an unattractive puckered line across both legs from the bottom of the zippers across to the side seams. It is not because they are too small; they all fit really well. I hope these do not do that. I have always loved LLBean but find the quality is decreasing in most everything I purchase anymore. So disappointing because they have always been so wonderful otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnnefromCanada My new 'go-to' jeans
These are a bit different from what I normally wear. I usually wear a skinny jean. (I'm 144 and 5'9" and purchased size 8, which fits me perfectly). I loved the look of the heritage wash and there was just something about the more relaxed cut that had a vintage look that I liked. At the price I thought I'd take a chance and so glad I did. The legs are really wide, but the waist and hips are quite fitted, so these are not 'baggy jeans.' The denim in beautifully soft. These are going to look great cuffed in the summer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MariaT Loose and short
They fit great in the morning, but by lunch are very loose at waist and hip. Tried to shrink 'em in the dryer, and you guessed it! Only the length shrank.
Oh well. Now I only wear them to hang around the house. Am looking forward to the new style of 1912s with slimmer styling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Colohiker Light weight jeans
This is the first pair of jeans I have ordered from LL Bean. They are quite light weight and do have a very loose leg fit. This is not a bad thing, but if you are looking for a jean for cold weather this is not it. They do get looser as the day wears on, but I don't wear my clothes tight. They will be fine for around the house and running to the store. I probably would not order another pair, even on sale. I don't expect them to last as long as other jeans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cdsm Nice Jeans
I love these jeans, they're my new favorite. I have aleady ordered more . I'm 5'4" and don't wear high heels, the regular length is just right for me. The straight leg will still fit over boots. Nice rise, hitting a couple of inches below the naval, not uncomfortably high or immodestly low. I find the thighs and seat are quite roomy, so if you want something form fitting, these are not for you. They seem to be of good quality in mid weight denim with a little stretch, didn't notice any shrinkage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pixiebell Had to exchange for larger size (1912 jeans)
I am almost 5'8, curvy 150-154 lbs (depends on the day) and ordered an 8 and had to exchange for a 10. I think these honestly are more true to size per say, how they used to size clothes, not vanity sizing them the way they do today. But you never know, so that is why I ordered the 8. The waist was very tight, and the length would not have worked either, unless wearing them with flip flops (and that's a maybe). So I ordered the 10 medium tall and they were perfect. I ordered the heritage wash because I wanted something lighter for the spring and summer and I get quite tired of wearing dark jeans all the time. I have not worn them out yet though, so that is why I gave them 4 stars...I wish LLBean would have free exchanges, but I do appreciate that they have free shipping so that wasn't a huge issue with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Weimom Finally - Perfect Jeans for Me!
I'm 5'2" and 165 lbs. Size 12 Petite was perfect and super comfortable. I love the fabric and quality. I'm in SoCal - hot and dry most of the year. These jeans will be worn year round. I see of lot of jeans that are either too thick or too thin, so I'm planning on buying another pair of these 1912 denims.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KGDS Disappointing
I have worn LL Bean jeans for many years and don't shop for jeans anywhere else. The fit of these is fine but the fabric is very light-weight. Rather than denim I would describe this fabric as almost a poplin material. Sadly, I don't expect them to last as long as my other jeans have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ishopbargains Great Jeans for me!
I ordered a pair of these a few months ago and once they arrived, I immediately ordered another. I am 5'8" and weigh 140 lbs. I ordered the size 8 in Med. Tall and they are perfect. The waist sits just a bit lower than some jeans but not too low. They are a bit pricey even on sale but are sooo comfortable. I like them so much that I am sure LL Bean will discontinue them since that's what they did to the jeans I loved 2 years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fairycat Great fit for this 5'5", 150lb, size 10 gal!
I have spent the last few years trying to find a pair of 100% cotton jeans that fit well and don't sit below my belly button or almost up to my armpits (I use to wear Lee jeans but they now only make jeans with lots of spandex, which I dislike because on me, spandex causes the jeans to keep growing and growing . . . ); the LL Bean Double L jeans just didn't work for me - the waist was too high and no matter the size - even tried a 14! - I just couldn't get the waist to close (I'm 5'5", 150 lbs, usually a size 10). The sales clerk at the K of P mall LL Bean store (thanks for your help) suggested I try the 1912 jeans, even though they were made with a small amount of spandex; well, 2 pairs later I'm now purchasing a 3rd pair. Great fit! I love the soft feel of these thinner jeans, they don't feel restrictive or dig into my waist when I sit down. I don't really care one way or the other about the distressed look, but I usually buy the darker style, which makes them look a little dressier with a nice sweater and boots so I can wear them to work (I work at a library and don't usually wear jeans). These jeans look good with sneaks, boots, flats, casual slip ons and my Emu's.
