Rated 1 out of 5 by fuelguy What Size are These Pants???
"One size fits all" simply never does. They are not given a specific size. Will somebody get a tape measure and advertise the actual size??! They were much smaller then I was led to believe.
I've actually bought quite a bit of good quality clothes from LLBean over the years. I'm glad this was an aberration.

Not the quality of a comparable pair I have had for several years.
Button at waist too large for buttonhole (a problem I've had w/ other LLBean slacks.)
Way too much fabric below the knees.
Included belt very low quality.
Fly should be larger.
May end up returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RadioWriter Great Travel Pants
I bought these for a trip overseas. They are comfortable and extremely light weight, the patch pockets are great for holding change, etc., and a bottle of water slid easily into the regular pocket.
They clean easily in a sink (or shower) and dry overnight. They did not come in the size I thought I needed ... but in a chat conversation I was told that they would expand with the elastic waist to a size 45 ... I didn't need quite that much, but they did expand and were great. They are also quite comfortable in the heat.
I needed a shorter length, but getting them hemmed was no big deal.
Great pants for the active traveler, or for hiking and walking, just about any outdoor activity.

Very comfortable and light weight. They only come in a 31 inch inseam and I usually buy 29 inch which I am able to get at LL Bean but not these. My wife had to hem them up to get the proper length..

Purchased these and 3 other types of pants. All had the same issue. I bought this for my husband to take on a cruise. I thought they would be great for places where he would need long pants. I ordered what we thought would fit. He could not get them on over the waist. There is too short of a zipper.

I have many pair of the old style tropicwear pants. I recently ordered the "new" style and found them of a much lower quality. Please bring back the old style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TobyH Good sun protection
I have several pairs of these pants. I wear them when fishing in Florida. They protect from the sun and even in heat and humidity remain comfortable. The downside, they are standard length and I always have to have them altered.

Bought the pants in "tall" for my husband (he is 6'5"). The inseam length was good, he said the pants were comfy. They wash well (follow the care label instructions). Our only complaint is that you cannot get "Tall" in a waist size smaller than "Large". A "Medium" waist would have been adequate since the pants are roomy but the elastic inserts in the waist and the included web belt kept the pants from sliding down. Would be happy to buy another pair in a different color if a "Tall/Medium" waist became available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by retiredhappycamper Excellent summer pant
comfortable useful summer weight pant. Good cargo pockets, don't care for the belt closure buckle. Dries quickly. Like the gray and the British tan. Would like to see them available in black, charcoal, white, navy. Between us we bought 7 pair recently. Our previous L.L. Bean Pant like this lasted 5 years in regular use.

This was my second choice since the original version TK 234436 was discontinued. The original was a better color and quality. I finally found one of the original in Tall and had the inseam altered. The new version is average quality. Gone are the nice pull tabs on the cargo pockets and the nice colors.
