Rated 4 out of 5 by JungleJim7071 I love them, my wife hates them
These lightweight pants are perfect for hot and dry or hot and wet climates. I used to be in the military, and the fabric dries even more quickly than the tropic-weight BDU material, and that's saying something. They may be a bit longer than typical; I'm 6' 1" and the regular length is better match for me than the tall (I ordered both and returned the tall one). They roll up and take almost no space at all in luggage; I can easily travel with two of them in a knapsack I use as my smaller carry-on for air travel.
Now the bad: my wife hates the color. She calls it a mustard yellow, not khaki, and objects to me wearing them any place within driving distance of our home. I think they're fine, but agree that this "khaki" is really yellow, not tan.

The only down side I find on ordering on line is the fact that you can not order your in seam size like you use to do.The upside of LL BEAN is the unquestioned ability of customers to return product that does not meet their expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by annieb85 fit for a lady
I love these pants. With the hint of stretch, they fit perfectly & are more comfortable than women's travel pants that I tried. They also have more pockets than women styles I found. I don't carry a purse so rely on pockets with secure closings when I travel. I like the gray color and would buy another pair in a flash if there were more color options. The shade of khaki is not appealing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by swimsinlakes I miss the mesh liner
I liked the prior version, item 234434, which was discontinued and replaced by this version. The older version had better styling, AND had a mesh liner, which meant I could wear the zip off pants w/o undies out and about and look good, and zip off the legs when needed, and voila, instant bathing suit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chief1982 Length of Trouser
I have the same trousers and the length is deceptive in the description on line. I thought mine would be longer, the waist at 36 is correct, but the pant leg is only 29 inches. I am disappointed but most likely keep these trousers, as I like the other features, no matter what if looks like. Although, people ask me if I am expecting a flood with my short trousers, guess I can only wear them as shorts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaptDwt Very nice, except they are way, way too tall
I bought these as a second pair of summer pants with removable legs. In Maine, it can be cool overnight and hot mid-day; so being able to remove and replace the legs in a great feature. These are a very light, cool fabric which I really like. First negative is that there is no length-wise zipper on the removable legs, so getting those legs past my size 11 shoes is a close call but works. My real disappointment is with the leg length...I ordered a Medium size, regular pant. What I got was a medium size TALL pant. legs are easily 34 inseam, while the chart says it will be 30. I like the feel and other features enough that I won't return them.

I like these pants for lightness, comfort, and protection from UV.
I added this pair of pants to my others to give me a full range of colors to wear with my full range of shirts for trips!
Less weight in my baggage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ziplegs Need more colors
These zip leg pants are the nicest tropic wear pants that I've
seen. Their weight makes them perfect for tropical vacations.
I have a pair of the gray ones and thought that it would be nice
to have some variety. Unfortunately they only come in Gray and
"British Khaki".I ordered a pair of these and was disappointed to
see that "British Khaki" is actually an off shade of yellow. I
returned them in exchange for another pair of gray. It would be
really nice to have more choice of color or at least something
other than "British Khaki".
