Rated 2 out of 5 by Codeman73 Great idea poorly executed
Well the other reviewer called it flimsy. The one that came with my "angler edition" Manatee is quite sturdy indeed. It's just too big. I'm 5'10" 200lb. and it's impossible to get out of my boat without scraping my knees against the pretty sharp leading edge of the unit. Since I have a band saw, I took the thing and cut about two inches off of the front of it and sanded and rounded off all of the edges. I took it out the other day and it was MUCH better. The Scotty rod holder is very stiff to reposition but I figure with a little lube of some sort, that will get better. I would say that after my hack, I would give it 4 stars overall.

The Cons -its a cheaper plastic, sharp on ends
- Gets in the way for bigger paddlers during entry and exit.
- End of tray not that secure because there is not enough
support at the end of the tray.
- Hardware for mounting a fishing rod base not included there are predrilled holes for a deck mounted Scotty
The Pros - Easy to install and adjust, though no directions
