It drapes beautifully and the back detailing is so flattering. It is my "go to piece". Mine is fiery red so I wear it at Xmas also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlaskanLLBeanappreciator This worked.
This ran big for me. I ordered this first in large and had to size down to a medium which worked. There was some figuring out with the colors. I did not like the fiery red and sent it back; it was a shade of red that I did not like and would have preferred a red with more blue in it and maybe darker. The lavender (purple vista) was not muted as it looked online and that was sent back, too. I ended up with the teal and rust red which is more on the dark orange side with some red in it so blends with layers with orange hues and not red ones or other colors that complement orange tones. These fit well, are flattering and are soft and attractive. I would have liked having choices of burgundy, purple and soft muted colors and might have purchased another one in one of those colors. I think they are lovely, substantial cardigans and could be worn in colder seasons (Alaska customer) with good layering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by maplescones Silky fabric, elegant style
I purchased two cardigans--both mediums, but one a petite in navy and one a regular in the fiery red. I am 5'4"/128 lbs. and an average build/36B/usually size 8 or 10. The size medium fits great over a long sleeved cotton tee (without being too big or too tight for layering). The shoulder area fits perfectly, and the small tucks in the front and back look attractive and add a nice shape. The size regular is long enough to cover my rear (nearly to mid-thigh) so it is quite wearable with slim pants and not make me feel over exposed. The petite medium also fits well and is about 3 inches shorter. It will work well with dresses and skirts.
The fabric is a silky knit (due to the modal) and more "flow-y" than the pima flyaway cardigans, so they feel a bit dressier. It is not a thick fabric, but it does not feel flimsy. While I need my 100% cotton on most days, I like this fabric very much and will get some good use out of them. Nice job, LL Bean! Please keep classic colors in your styles: colonial red, spruce, navy, chocolate brown, black, charcoal grey heather.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2kids2cats petites beware!
This is way too much cardigan for a petite. I hoped it might fit like the thin-ribbed open cardigan, which I love. So hopeful that when it went on daily markdown I ordered THREE. It's all wrong for someone my size (Petite small). WAY too long, too big overall. I looked like a frumpy dumpy bag lady--not the look I'm after. Sigh........

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cin1295 JUST LOVE THESE CARDIGANS!!!!
I absolutely love these cardigans as they are just right in comfort! They are not overly warm as a knit sweater but perfect to wear over Pima tees or wrinkle-free shirts. I now own just about every color and I will continue to collect them as long as Bean continues to make them (which I hope they will).

I just received this cardigan yesterday. I bought this with a tank top and I knew I was going to love it as soon as I put it on! I'm going to order another one to go with my flowered spring skirt!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pajaro Beautiful color, nicely made, but much too large
I ordered this item and the tank that goes with it in the dark fuschia and in my normal size extra small. Unfortunately I must return it because is much too large. However the color is beautiful and it is nicely made, so I would recommend it with the caution to order down the size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by shopdrone Not what I expected
This is a nice top - it has a nice drape and shape to it - I like the styling - but it's not what I expected. I wanted a sweater - and it's more like T shirt weight material, a jersey. So although it would work well for some applications, like maybe wearing in an office, I had in mind to use it as a layer over other tops in the winter/fall and it's too light for that. It would be a nice summer light layer but I didn't really need it for that so I am returning. I would like to see this same style in a different material - more sweater like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sweatersavvy Wonderful flattering top
I now own four of these, and find that the colors are the same or very close to what is shown online. I take a large as I weigh 165 lbs. and am 5'8". This is the most slimming open cardigan in my wardrobe as it gives me a shape rather than making me look like one big rectangle. The fabric washes and dries without shrinking and the roll up button tab sleeves are perfect for this changing weather. I wear them with sleeveless tops in the same fabric but contrasting colors or with 3/4 sleeves which just peek out from this garment's rolled up sleeves. I expect to be wearing this into early November and look forward to wearing the pink and moss green ones next spring.

This arrived so wrinkled I wouldn't consider wearing it. Is this because of color? I got the light apricot, so is the fabric different? I have hung it for two days in humid weather - no improvement. I don't know whether to try washing and drying it, or would that make it unreturnable? Same problem with the sleeveless top.
