I sought out a kayak that I can transport and navigate with no help from anyone.
This fits the bill.
It is light enough that I can lift each piece into the back of my Ford Focus easily, travel to the put-in, hook the two parts together, and paddle away.
Love, love, love this kayak!
Recommend it with no reservations whatsoever.

The Martini GTX solo is very well made with great maneuverability and stability as well as good speed. It has many nice features (comfy seat with air pump, two dry hatches, cup holders, rudder and adjustable foot pegs, carry handles, elastic cords for stowing gear and the paddle, and even a fish measurer embossed on the side.) It is easy to put the two pieces together and take them apart, they are fine to carry individually, and they load into my mid-sized car. They also store easier in my garage than a whole kayak would. The joining mechanisms are sturdy and there is no way it can leak. (if anyone has gotten water in the sitting area, I would assume that it came in over the sides because it was too wavy or they had too much weight in it and were sitting too low.) This is a smallish kayak suited to calmer waters, which is exactly what I wanted. (I am 5'9" and fit just fine.) Even though it is so quick to get this kayak from my car into the water and back loaded again, I DO have to allow extra time for all the appreciative questions and comments of other boaters who marvel at how well-designed this kayak is.

I love this kayak. I can handle both pieces and it fits in the back of my
Nissan Rogue. It tracks great and I like the rudder feature. The only suggestions I can make is to have these in the stores, so you can try them out and see them, and be able to get different colors. I would have liked a blue one.
