Our most-powerful computerized telescope with motorized tracking

  • Motorized and GPS-compatible Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope
  • 125 mm aperture with premium multicoated optics
  • Handheld controller and 40,000 object database
  • Includes port and cable for controlling telescope remotely

Quickly find and track stars, planets and other sky objects with this motorized, GPS compatible Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. A large five-inch aperture with multicoated glass optics allows exceptional light transference, producing crystal-clear images of celestial objects both near and far away. SkyAlign technology makes telescope alignment easy, even if you're unfamiliar with the night sky. Simply center the telescope on three bright objects in the sky and press align – the telescope does the rest. A database with over 40,000 objects helps you discover the universe or take a targeted Sky Tour of the best objects currently visible. Optional GPS module for instant alignment, sold separately.

A precisely engineered optical tube with aluminum and silica mirrors ensures maximum light reflection for vibrant color resolution. Twenty-five mm eyepiece enhances magnification. A StarPointer with dovetail mounting bracket attaches to the telescope, offering a wide field of view and allowing you to easily find celestial objects before viewing them with the telescope.

Push button controller with easy-to-read LCD display allows you to operate and position the telescope. Backlit red-LED display and catalog keys on controller preserve night vision. Keys allow you to scroll through the database for stars, planets, deep-sky and Messier objects you'd like to find. Three tracking modes can be set to follow an object as it moves across the night sky, according to north or south polar alignment, or the default altitude azimuth alignment. Off mode for tracking and cataloging terrestrial objects. RS-232 communication port and cable allow you to interface with a computer and control the telescope remotely.

Fully automated GoTo mount with right ascension and declination securely attaches to the sturdy steel tripod with a machined-aluminum mounting bracket. Stable single fork mount connects telescope to tripod base. Mount powered by eight AA batteries, not included. Tripod includes a latitude adjustment rod, an integrated bubble level and a built-in equatorial wedge tilt plate for precise alignment. A center support rod connects to the center leg brace/accessory tray with a locking knob for complete security. Free Sky X – First Light Edition CD with 40,000 celestial objects to locate and track, NexRemote remote control software CD, NexStar SE user manual and a wrench included. Optical tube 11"L. Wt. 271/2 lb. Imported.
