áby HetEngeltje Sturdy, and compact for multi use.
Great little knife. Reliable, and complies with my new city's blade length allowance. (State law is much more flexible than city/county law regarding knives.) The opening mechanism is smooth as butter, yet holds up to force. I don't have this version anymore; sold it since I carry the same knife with treatments. Neither of these knives have rusted on me, however, the version pictured won't get scratches in comparison.

This knife has a fairly hefty price tag for an off-the-shelf knife, but so far it is the best knife I have owned for utility use around the ranch. It holds an edge better than any other knife I have owned and the ambidextrous one-handed operation is a really helpful feature. Unlike some other folding knives I have owned, the locking mechanism is extremely secure. I frequently have to cut rope cord and tie wraps and the serrations near the grip make cutting flexible stuff easier. The grip seems really rugged but a year or two of daily use and abuse around the ranch will prove whether the grip stands up.

I don't use my pocket knife as much as I used to. I had an inexpensive Schrade florist knife but wanted a knife with a locking blade that could easily cut small diameter rope. So far I'm very happy with the quality of the blade and knife. My wife gave me a hard time for spending so much on a pocket knife so my biggest concern is not losing it.

I love my regular size griptilian, but it's a little heavy for light work. The "mini" is just the right size, fits easily in pants pocket like a swiss army knife, but of course, this is a far superior blade and handle. This is a compact but serious knife. Thank-you LL Bean for carrying the excellent "made in america" Benchmade brand.
