Rated 4 out of 5 by GoldenRetrieverMommy Love this shirt for comfort. Fit is not ideal.
I have been looking for a lined shirt that I can wear around my house, which I like to keep quite cool (about 63 degrees). I saw this shirt, and realized it's exactly what I wanted. The shirt arrived yesterday. I put it on, and I was comfortably warm all day in my house. Plus, it adds comfort outside when I put my down parka on over it. I like it so much that I am ordering a 2nd one today.
Before buying initially, I read all the reviews, and realized my normal Large size would not fit over my hips with this garment. (I'm a size 14 on top, and 16 on the bottom.) So I ordered an XL. The bodice is very loose and doesn't look as well shaped as it does in the pictures. However, the hip portion fits almost perfectly. So the reason I gave only 4 stars is for the straight fit.
If you've got a figure similar to mine (larger size in the hips than the bodice) and you want something that will fit perfectly, this won't be for you. But if you need a warm shirt either for cool indoor or mild outdoor conditions, and are more interested in comfort than style, I heartily recommend this shirt. Same if you have a straight figure.

Really love this sporty shirt/jac. Fit is wonderful for a more slender person, sleeves are LONG enough - yeah!! Love and have both colors. Medium for 5'6", 140 lbs. Thanks once again for great products and service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SandraK Fits a shorter person better than expected
I'm 5'3" and approx. 160 lbs, so I ordered this in a M, and it fits just fine. I always have a problem where in order to get more fitted tops to fit around my hips, they end up being too big in the shoulders. This shirt/jacket fit better than expected, and I'm glad I ordered a M, as a L would've been too big.
Nice looking on, nice finish to the fabric and I liked the reddish lining on the inside. I agree with some previous reviews saying that the sleeves are a little too long, so I'll just have to roll mine up.
It's a keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 Super warm but lightweight!
I was so thrilled when I put this jacket on! It is super lightweight but still has so much warmth! Its perfect! And the teal color is wonderful! It goes with everything! I typically wear large tops, but after reviewing what other people had to say, I went with the medium jacket and it fits perfect! I would have been swimming in the large! So happy with my purchase!

I love the styling of this jacket. The magnetic pocket-flap closures, the covered zipper with snaps, the two vertical snaps at the wrists, and the texture of the outer fabric make it not your typical ski jacket. I ordered my usual size (small), and it fits as expected, with room-enough for another light layer underneath. At 5'2" and 112 lbs., I probably would have ordered a PETITE small had it been available, but I am still happy with the fit of the REGULAR small. If you want this jacket to fit snugly, as it does on the blond model in the catalog/online, then you might choose to order one size down. Otherwise, I'd recommend ordering your usual size. The sleeves are a bit long for a shorter woman but not a problem. (When I'm driving with my arms outstretched, I actually prefer a slightly longer sleeve.) The two vertical snaps at the cuff allow the wearer to turn up the cuffs, if so desired. Oh, yes, I must not forget to mention the orange lining that comes with the gray jacket. Fabulous and fun!

I love the over all points of this Traverse Shirt Jacket. Years ago there was a down shirt and I never bought one. Now I was excited! The down shirt had returned! I did all the measurements and ordered the medium. It arrived today. The shirt jacket is beautifully made, but it doesn't fit my pear shape. The top, the shoulders, the bust, the arms all fit just right, but the bottom part would not close. If I got the larger size, the shoulders would be droopy. I still applaud the shirt jacket and hope that next year LL Bean will make one similar with a straight line so that more body shapes, including mine, can wear it. A note that might help someone else, I have difficulty with cold even in the evenings inside. I had planned to use the jacket inside in the evenings.
But I am going to send it back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by skyedundee Stylish and practical
Good jacket that combines the practical micropuff jacket with a more fashionable style. It is both very warm and very compact. The shoulders are a tad bulky and the jacket is overall sized very large. I am normally a S/XS in women's stores and the XXS is still a bit big. However, this slight extra room is useful for wearing a thick sweater underneath while keeping the stylish shape of the jacket. The other reason for giving it a 4/5 is that the small feathers of the down tend to escape from the jacket seams and stick to my sweaters underneath. It's not so much as that the jacket will lose it's down quickly, but it is a bit annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoonieCoonie Awesome jacket!!!
Wife was looking for a light weight jacket to wear to work, and out on the town, that looked nice. She saw this jacket on line and really liked it. So, with that in mind, and along with the, L.L. Bean, quality reputation being as it is, I ordered it for her. It got here in a few days, and she LOVEs it! Good looking, warm, light weight, durable and very well made!!! Would recommend this item to everyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by WiscoLD Nice, but runs big and inside is really orange.
I'm 5'8 about 137 pounds, average chest. I typically wear Small to Medium. This runs a bit big in the torso/width, although sleeve length is good. Bottom line, I'm returning for an XS (and I really wish they carried TALL for women.)
Also - the inside liner is pumpkin orange, not red as shown online.
