I love this blanket! You don't often see a wool blanket in this color or solid pattern. We got the light green/blue, I forget its assigned color name. It's warm yet brightening on a cold day. Also, it's lightweight. Paired with flannel sheets, it keeps us toasty. And made in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Pasha Excellent blanket
I bought this to replace a thermal blanket, and couldn't be happier. It's much warmer, eliminating the need for my down comforter unless the room temperature falls below 65. As recommended, I washed it before use, drying it on the line. It washed nicely, and is about as soft as you could expect wool to be. The queen size is so much better than a dual full/queen (which never fit well), although I wouldn't mind a few more inches in length so I could pull it all the way up to my chin at night.
Overall, probably the best blanket I ever bought, and well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5áby DHwhitepaws An instant Classic.
I got the window pane blanket in gray/oatmeal heather [a few months ago and finally opened the package this week] - WOW!! I was VERY impressed by the craftsmanship - 5 Stars. I threw out my fleece blanket and that overly rated down comforter and put this on my bed. Amazingly beautiful, simple yet classy, an instant classic and in my opinion, VERY Town and Country. It's heavy, warm and washes well. However, I dried mine on Medium heat [25mins.] setting as the Low and Ultra Low does nothing. Another thing, I was surprised about the price - too low, as elsewhere are asking $200plus for the same blanket, in Full.

Rated 5 out of 5áby NortheastNeighbour Perect winter blanket
I purchased the king-sized version of this blanket in the blue haze colour, and am delighted with it!
I washed it upon receiving it, and it fit in our top-loading hybrid HE washer, and dried beautifully in the dryer.
It is soft, breathable and lightweight, but nice and warm. We have it inside our new Premium Supima Flannel Comforter Cover (heavenly) at the moment, while we decide about a comforter purchase. We are warm and cozy with just this layer plus Premium Supima Flannel sheets, and I sleep with the window wide open here in Eastern Canada, where nights have already been in the -2Celsius range (below freezing)!
About the colour - I was aware from previous reviews that the colour would not be the same as the Blue Haze in the other bedding products. It is a bit duller and has a bit more green in the blue than the other bedding items, but I'm okay with that. If you planned to have the blanket showing, just be aware that it is different.
Upon transitioning to a king-sized bed, I wanted to invest in LLBean bedding for several reasons: quality and reliability and convenience. I hate shopping, and hate returning unsuitable items even more. Thank you for an excellent product.

áby Shellbark A Good Night's Sleep
This handsome wool blanket packs a good amount of warming power despite its thin profile. The green one as pictured is a rich forest green. It?s best for cool nights, though for me it reaches its warming limit when the mercury drops to 64░F, at which point layering is needed. When the thermometer showed said temperature the first night I used the blanket, I threw my acrylic/polyester blanket over the wool one, making for a heavenly experience: The wool blanket delivered toasty warmth as well as remarkable breathability. It?s surprisingly soft for a woolen; I followed L.L. Bean?s advice to wash it before use to improve the softness of the fabric.
I used a commercial washer, Woolite, and the following settings: cold water, delicate cycle, and low soil. The blanket smelled unpleasant out of the washer (it?s wool, after all), but the smell completely disappeared after drying. I used a fabric softener sheet and dried the blanket in the lowest setting. The blanket came out of the dryer smelling great and looked as good as it had before I washed it. There was no pilling or fading, and the whipstitches were intact.
In short, this blanket is incredibly comfortable and has promising durability. It has properties you just can?t get from a synthetic blanket. Grab it before it goes.

Rated 5 out of 5áby SatisfiedGrandmother Most perfect blanket ever!
I purchased this blanket for our bed 2 years ago. It goes through the washer and dryer like a dream, has never pilled, stays soft and looks like it was never used. It is the perfect weight to use with or without a quilt or spread, and is the right warmth without a lot of weight, which is unusual for a wool blanket. Last year, I purchased one for my oldest son, since we were so pleased with our own blanket. I like that you don't need two blankets plus a quilt or spread to stay warm in our Northeast Ohio winters. This blanket, plus your cozy flannel sheets, keep things just right for sleeping---Thank YOU! One remark, however. Please never stop offering this blanket, and PLEASE offer a wider and better selection of colors than this past year. Thanks again.

Rated 5 out of 5áby SharpEyeShopper Lovely color & fabric
This it is even prettier than the web photo. A soft seafoam-green color with cream herringbone -- a welcome change from all the boring beiges, creams & taupes out there. This is very soft & light, with nice, cream whip stitching. It's light enough even in summer when the bedroom A/C gets too cold, & should be great for fall. For the all-wool fabric, the quality, the color & the washability, the price is very reasonable. Definitely worth a 3-month wait.

áby MarylandGram Warm, launders well, great for sleeping under
Love our home furnishings from LLBean! Looks like it came right out of the web site into our home. I like the fact that the sheets, blanket, quilt and rugs are well made. Could not ask for better quality.

Rated 5 out of 5áby alchemilla Awesome cold weather blanket
FABULOUS! We live in Upstate NY at elevation. This has been the coldest winter here in the 17 yrs we have been in this house. Our home is a large 1880 farmhouse, remodeled some, but still chilly and with no heat in our master bedroom except by osmosis lol.
We have a comforter, afghan, flannel sheets and 2 other blankets on our bed, but when I replaced the old Velux with this Pendelton wool blanket, the difference was felt the first night! Hard to put your finger on it other than to say warmth, but a special kind of warmth, soothing. The blanket is not scratchy but feels natural to the touch and I look forward to having it the rest of my life!
If you are debating, my recommendation is BUY while they are still making these at reasonable prices!

Rated 5 out of 5áby GardenBirdDog Lovely Pendleton Washable Wool Blanket
Haven't washed it yet, so hope for little to no shrinkage or pilling, but I can't speak to those issues yet. We've bought Pendleton washable wool blankets, although not from Bean, in past years, which have been laundered multiple times, and they look like new.
Apart from how well this may launder when the time comes, our expectations from previous experience have been fully met by this handsome, warm, lightweight, itch-free, made-in-USA, Pendleton classic.
As so many reviewers have already stated, one of the many reasons we love these blankets is that one blanket provides a perfect level of warmth without much weight - no need to be buried under numerous layers. Most winter nights, just a sheet and this blanket feels just right. It's a rare night cold enough to add a weightless summer-rated down blanket (lighter than a level 1 down comforter#. We don't like to feel pinned beneath heavy bedding.
First ordered a color, if memory serves me #I don't think site will let me go back and look at the color name while writing a review# called Aqua Haze #Blue Haze?#. At any rate, it looked aqua in the catalog. Upon arrival, the color was beautiful, but it was a muted aqua-green, not aqua-blue. Any aqua-blue without too much grey in it would have blended with much of our furnishings. As it was, the shade had too much grey and yellow in its undertones, making it clash with all of our bedding, carpets and accessories.
We exchanged for the so-neutral-as-to-go-with-nearly-anything grey windowpane. It is classic and timeless.
FYI for those concerned with overhang and how it will work with their Queen-sized bedframe or deep mattress, the overhang on each side #from the edge of the side of the bed to the bottom edge of the blanket overhang) is 16 inches. Keep in mind that I haven't washed and dried this blanket. After I do, I'll try to provide an update on shrinkage, if any.
