Rated 3 out of 5 by NurseHiker Interesting pants but nice for the price
I usually wear a size 6 or 8. Several reviewers mentioned that these run small, so I ordered both to see which one fit me. The 6 fit perfectly in the body, but were JUST long enough (I like mine a little longer). The 8 was loose in the body, but better in length. I washed the 6 just to see if they would shrink because if they shrank at all they would not work. They did not shrink one bit, so I decided to keep the 6 as the 8 really would not fit in the body without shrinking. The 6 waist fits perfectly. I really can't figure out the purpose of the tie - it just sticks out when wearing a shirt not tucked in. I promptly cut the ties off,
The corduroy is almost non existent. It is so fine and thin that if someone didn't tell you they were corduroy, you would never know. The cargo pockets lay down nicely and the pants look slim and trim. They are not really warm, but could easily be worn year round if you are in inside dweller in the winter. They are still pretty nice pants for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MarinaMama Front pockets don't lie flat for me
I LOVE the buttery-soft fine-wale cord, the olive gray color, all the functional pockets (especially the subtly gusseted cargo pockets with snap closure, perfect for my iPhone) and the price on the 2-a-day markdown, but they just didn't fit me right. The waist was perfect, the hips too big (which I would have lived with), but the front pockets flared open in an unattractive way when I moved. Based on previous reviews, I ordered up to size 10 from my usual 8. I think an 8 would be too tight in the waist but better in the hips. I took off these pants to send back and put on my size 8 slim-leg cargo pants instead, which fit me better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lovestoshop4 yikes! this is horrible
I just don't know where to start , the cut is horrible , the fabric is so thin is a joke to call it corduroy , they are super short and just plain horrible , I am very upset I have to pay so much to return them , they are very deceiving . even the color is terrible , I got the olive gray but if that is olive I am the queen of Egipt! ( I am not)

Rated 5 out of 5 by ArtCatNightOwl Great pants.
Love these pants, especially in the soft green color. Looks great with ivory fitness fleece top and scarf. I do like the lighter weight fabric - makes it easier to tuck into boots without so much bulk. I did order one size up from my normal size based on other reviews and they fit great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NorthernGardener A lot of alterations
I bought these pants on the daily markdown for $14.99 to wear in the garden this Spring. So far, I have removed the back pockets, replaced the large bulky button at the waist and shortened the legs by 1.5 inches. Nevertheless, the pants fit well and should be comfortable in the garden. I would never pay the original price for these pants -- $14.99 is all they are worth. The fabric is very thin and the corduroy wale is almost non existent.

I ordered these because I like cargo pants and was intrigued that they were corduroy. The button came off the first time I tried them on but I like the look and fit and color. So I will sew the button back on and keep them.
I am disappointed with the fabric. I have been around awhile and know what corduroy used to look and feel like. I still have some.

Rated 5 out of 5 My favorite pants
These are so versatile. I love the fact that they offer the comfort of cargo pants, but are a little classier with a very fine corduroy (as one reviewer noted, you can't really tell they are corduroy from a distance). They are great pants for "transition weather"--fall/early Spring, although I find I wear them in the house during the winter too.
Do make sure to look carefully at the sizing chart. They really do fit AT THE WAIST. I never wear the size I had to order for these pants, but it was indeed correct (in this case the L.L. Bean size was a size UP from my usual).

I really like the cargo/side pockets feature of these pants . Also the corduroy is light weight for comfortable wearing in the spring. will wear these a lot in warmer weather.(it is 9degrees and below here now..

I was very happy to see gray cords that fit at the waist. And these do. I'm 5'2", 110 pounds. I purchased a size 8 reg. The overall fit was fine. I would have kept them but the material is really, really thin. I was expecting something more substantial. Also the wale is very fine, does not even look like corduroy. I wish Bean would make their Bayside cords in gray. I am returning these, which is easy with Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wrennie Very soft and light
I ordered these in the dark gray color. I love the drawstring-usually never found on a winter pant style. They are a nice light weight material similar to velveteen, but without the sheen. The leg is straight but just a tad wide. The waist is at the belly button level. They are true to size using Bean's size chart (which means they are smaller than the same size in other brands). I am in Washington State, so these will work here October through March unless we have a cold snap. The washed nicely as well.
