These are really nice lined pants. You really don't feel like you are wearing lined pants because they are not bulky. Very comfortable. I ordered a size 6 tall, I am 5"8 and weigh 125, probably didn't need the tall cause I do have to cuff them but I'm ok with that. The waist seems a little snug but I seem to notice that in quite a few pants from LL Bean?? Excellent quality and look great. Love them!!

I loved these pants but my new pair -- in the same size -- are two inches longer, and 1 inch lower in the rise which makes the same size waist too tight.

I have a couple of pairs of these from a previous season, and this year I added the light moss color. I love these pants. They are not as warm as the L. B. Bean fleece-lined jeans, which I also have, but they are perfect for moderately cold days. I love the easily -accessible cargo pockets that button for security. I am 5'3.5" and weigh about 115. The 6 regular is fine for me - roomy, for active use, but not baggy. They were out of regular this year, so I got tall. They cuff well, and I will probably not re-hem them. I wish they came in a true black. I need black pants for some casual daytime performances in winter, before or after which I go out geocaching. These are toastier than corduroy against one's legs, and the style would work for these events. Again, a true dark black that would not fade with washing would be great!

I bought the Southport Cargo Pants, Lined, in Soft Moss, 14 Petite. I never expected to like them as much as I do. I was used to the Lined Bayside Twills (I think that's the right name), and they have a high tight waist, good for keeping your body warm but sometimes too tight for comfort. These Southport Pants are a bit lower at the waist and not at all tight, although they fit very comfortably. I am 5'1", 145 pounds, with a nipped-in waist. These pants nip in too. So many styles are straight up and down and gap in the back like men's pants would do, but these are shaped like I am, no gapping. What a joy to find them! They do also have a drawstring which might be helpful if they are a bit too loose, but I wasn't using it, just tucking it out of the way, so after a couple wearings, I pulled the drawstring out. Since these pants come in Petite, I didn't even have to hem them. Oh, another plus, the cargo pockets on the legs are just big enough that I can button in my Samsung Galaxy S5. The front waist pockets are not very deep, and a phone could easily fall out of them. I am liking the Soft Moss color; it goes with many fall tops. It is a nice gentle light green, not too yellow, not too blue. I could do without the flaps on the back pockets; I don't really need anything to draw attention to that area, but it's a small complaint, and maybe some folks button things into those pockets? I never use back pockets for any reason, so for me, they are nothing but a waste and a nuisance. I would definitely buy more of these pants if they came in colors I could use. Black, gray, brown, maybe raisin?

These pants are warm, comfy and nicely made. I just bought a new pair and the sizing is the same as the ones from two years ago. I'm 5'5" about 115 and the 4 is perfect. They've held up well in the wash w/no shrinkage or wear.

Lining is both warm and comfortable. Great for cold winter days.
High waist feels strange at first.

Nice and warm- but not too warm....very comfy and cozy for these frigid days-even in the house... I find fleece too warm inside. Winter weather was over 5 months here and I was sooo happy with this purchase. Wash and dry- I always turn inside out 1/2 way thru drying because of the flannel lining...

I've come to realize when I read clothing reviews, whether the reviewer is delighted or disappointed with the item's fit, how invaluable it is to me when the reviewer reveals something about her height and other salient body type characteristics. Having a sense of how similar one's own frame might be to the reviewer's is one of the best clues of how well (or poorly!# the item might fit/flatter oneself.
I'm a scrinch under 5 foot 9, relatively short waisted and long-legged. By my former standards, my waist has all but disappeared. Post-menopause, I've taken to wearing mostly stretch-waist pants.
Given that these lined Southport cargo pants have no stretch in the waistband and further, some reviewers found the waist to be extremely tight #unbuttonable#, for months,I passed over these, even though we've had a winter with lots of record low temps and I needed warm pants. I'm so glad I tried them when they went on sale.
I was surprised to find the waist not at all snug. Even after laundering twice per instructions, the pant size that recently has most often fit me best at Bean was actually a bit loose all over! If it helps others, I am thicker through the middle than when younger, but my body type is definitely not "apple".
The cotton flannel lining is very soft, warm and comfortable. The pockets are great, especially the deeper button-flap side pockets which easily hold a smartphone. The rise and inseam are just the right length. I ordered Tall, the length is perfect with rugged winter boots, although not long enough to roll up even once to show the flannel, which I don't miss at all. The hem circumference is large enough that they'd probably look clumsy with a rolled hem, anyway.
I've found them to be so comfortable and useful in this deep freeze that I ordered a second pair, and because the first pair was actually a bit baggy in both the waist and hip, I tried a size down, in the only color available. The smaller size is the best-fitting pair of fitted #no elastic# pants I've purchased in the last few years! The waistband in the smaller pair is neither snug nor gaps.
I like both the indigo and olive colors, which are nicely slightly faded for casual wear. These pants are so warm, soft, comfy, well-fitting, and functional #plenty of pockets#, that until it warms up, I want to wear them everyday. I would have ordered additional colors if they had been available.
Like many reviewers, I did intentionally remove the drawstring. It served no purpose, slows one down, and adds bulk at the front waistband. I'm not recommending that Bean eliminate the drawstring. It's easy to remove if one prefers. Women with a smaller waist might miss it.

These pants are made in India and are a beautiful color (khaki) and nice thickness. They feel like they will last forever. I am very thin and the pants usually don't fit me. These were a little big in the waist but very big in the hips and thighs. Still I was tempted to keep them they were made so well. I looked in the signature line to see if they had something similar but no luck. Back they go~ and I hope LLBean carries these in a thinner cut pant some day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by yaki Warm but dumpy
I really wanted to like these pants. They are warm soft and well made, and I liked the olive color, but sadly the fit way too baggy so I will be sending them back. I read the reviews that said the waist ran small so I ordered a size 8. I usually wear a size 6, I'm 5'5 and 125 lbs. I think if I had gone to a size 6 the waist would have been too tight. The pants look much wider in the legs and butt in real life than on the model shown in the side view. The pants looked so dumpy on me I wouldn't even have kept them for wearing only around the house. Mind you I do not like tight pants. I do not own a single pair of skinny jeans and do not hope to. I was hoping for some warm semi-stylish pants to wear instead of having to layer long underwear under my pants when it is cold.
