Rated 5 out of 5 by Ypreille Versatile, elegant, and understated
An underrated piece that provides the ease and comfort of a T-shirt together with the elegance of a blouse.
An ideal layering piece: because it's silk, it doesn't bunch up under a blazer or cardigan the way cotton button-down shirts do. A lot of silk blouses are see-through, but this one is totally opaque. No need to add a camisole! The little bit of stretch goes a long way, too.
Expensive for sure, but production values are high: French seams up the sides and down the arms; neck placket lies perfectly flat; the cut is very precise.
Shoulders and bust are fitted (size 8 fits 36B with room to spare), but the middle is generously loose; looks good tucked or untucked. The blouse is structured to draw attention to your neck and shoulders. Narrow-shouldered ladies might find the boat-neck a little wide; requires a bra with widely-spaced straps.
I got the grey striped version--it's more like a steely blue-grey. The colors are nothing to write home about, but that's the point. This is not a statement piece; it's a top-quality, go-everywhere wardrobe basic, ideal for the office as well as the weekend.
If L.L.Bean could bring this out in more colors and a more affordable price I would be all over that.

I jumped in with both feet and bought this item...very expensive and doubly so with duty and taxes..the pink colour is truly pink and the blue a real navy..there is white as well.. a sweet top but really far too pricey...I tried it on and it looked very sweet and a size 8 will do as I have a bustline..the shoulders seem just fine and it sits well on my shoulders..it feels very silky on and I shall look forward to wearing it soon..the sleeves were just right as I like long not 3/4...all in all a sweet quite different shirt that is dressy or whatever you wish it to be..I shall launder by hand..Really L.L.Bean keeps me hopping with their ideas..this is a plain/ordinary top,yet most lovely at the same time!!..A winner I think..!!!

Sadly, this top has a very strange shape. It is very wide; in particular, the boatneck so wide that it practically fell off my shoulders. The fabric is stretchy and doesn't seem worth the relatively high price. The print is nothing special.
For reference, I am petite and ordered a size 2 which has fit me very well in many other Signature tops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by westford unusual and pretty
This is unlike any top I've seen anywhere. The fabric, while silk, does have a slight stretch to it as described. The shade of pink really is pink, not peach, and is quite pretty. The fit is "regular", not tight. I ordered 8 and 10 and didn't even open the bag containing the 10. I'm at least a 36" bust with somewhat wide shoulders. If I weren't self-conscious about the extra 10 pounds or were 20 years younger, I might have tried a 6. The only thing I'd do differently is have an ever so slightly lower neckline, like 3/4" lower. I can feel that the fabric is a dense, high quality material; light yet opaque and graceful. I expect this top to fly out of here, but it is expensive.
