These are excellent for hiking and/or just walking. Very comfortable, waterproof, nice looking, and functional. Wore them hiking in Alaska over very uneven, often wet terrain and didn't slip or falter once. Also bought a pair for my husband and they worked well for him.

I purchased these to wear hiking in the Rocky Mountains. They were perfect from the first day. These boots kept my feet warm and dry through rain, sleet and puddles. They were lightweight and did not need any breaking in time. I wore them on shorter hikes as well as a 10 hour hike through very rocky, slippery conditions. I felt stable and kept thinking how much I loved these boots! I did order these a 1/2 size up from my normal size and that was a great fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zandra This is a great boot.....
Read all the reviews and still worried that they wouldn't fit when they arrived. I am a 10 1/2 who usually wears an 11 due to availability. They were JUST big enough. Everything else about the Keen is awesome - lightweight (almost like a sneaker), good looking and warm with a light
or heavy sock. These boots live up to their reputation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zgirlamy BEST BOOTS I'VE EVER OWNED!!!!
These boots rock! I took them for the first time on an 8 mile hike and afterwards I had no hotspots or blisters! These boots got the best review for mid priced women's hiking boots! Now I know why!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by virgquest Targhee IIs Rock
I have two pairs of Targhee IIs in the low-cut version and they are some of the best hiking and daily wear shoes I own. I got the first pair over two years ago and when I compared the tread against the pair I bought this summer, I noticed that the tread shows remarkably little wear and tear, despite my wearing them at least 3-4 times a week 6 months a year. Keen makes excellent shoes - they will be comfortable from day one and will hold up well over time. They have great arch support, plenty of room in the toes, and will keep your feet dry and warm. Can't recommend them enough!

Rated 3 out of 5 by mszig Reviews misleading
I'm a 9.5 B plus....at 67 my feet have widened a bit...especially on hikes longer than 4 miles. so I am looking for a boot that won't give me blisters after 3-4 miles. All the reviews seemed to indicate this was THE boot for me. NOT so. The medium width is really medium--on the narrow side of medium. There is no way I could wear this and not have blisters after 3 miles. Sent them back.
Still looking for the perfect boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boondoggie Wonderful!!
Heading out to the SW to hike in the National Parks in a couple of weeks (if the govt doesn't shut them down). I love to hike, but my feet are very fussy. I had a bunionectomy on my right foot that caused nerve damage. As long as I wear a flip-flop with that piece between the toes, my foot is fine. But nothing between the toes makes my toes feel like they have gone to sleep and wearing shoes is very uncomfortable. And now that foot is also a half size smaller because the big toe is somehow made shorter. Finding shoes in women's large sizes is difficult. I probably wear an 11 on my right foot, 11.5 on my left. And they stop making half sizes at 10. It was with much fear and trepidation I ordered "confining" boots online. I did order an 11. I have worn them for a couple of days now with a thick pair of socks, and they are wonderful. I don't know what is different about these, but the problem with the nerve damage between the toes is not that bad. We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and our morning walks are up and down hills. It's been great to test them, and I really am thrilled. I'm now looking at the low-cut style for everyday wear. And I wish that LLBean would bring back their fleece-lined flip flops! That's my winter slippers--I've been wearing the same pair for several years now. They're still going strong, but looking/feeling their age.
