Rated 5 out of 5 by foxwoods Comfortable boot and true to size
Been walking in these for a little over a week. So far really pleased. Love the wide toe box, the ankle support, the cushioning, the tread, etc. Plus, I ordered my normal size 11, despite suggestions that I go a half size up, and they fit just fine. A bit on the high end price wise, but I had a Bean coupon, not to mention liking the fact I could easily return them if anything went wrong. One note: the color seems to be a little more brown-olive than the picture suggests. Not a problem in my view. A good quality boot that figures to last a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Born2Late Best hiking boots I've ever owned.
I've had these boots for about six months, now. I've done extensive mountain hiking in them, as well as casual wear. I love 'em. They were comfy from Day One, providing good support & protection, & looking good, too. All that, & they're made in the USA, too :-). I usually struggle mightily to find a good fit in footwear.
Some negatives, too:
** The right boot wasn't cut/sewn to match the left. It's like there's a slight twist between sole & upper. Hoped it'd stretch to fit well w/time. It pretty much has.
** The sole's grip was exceptional. After extensive hiking on two continents, not so much. I'm not sure if the material's grip is fading, or the tread pattern is to blame. I've slipped twice this winter, & landed on my tail. Once was only on wet inside stairs. Very bad, as I've a history of disc herniations.
I'd hate to have to trade these boots in to LL Bean, but may have to. I'm saddened to see that these are the top hiking boots from Keen. I'd buy the next model up without hesitation.
The negatives are all offset by Bean's wicked_awesome customer service. Buy them. If they don't work out for you, you can exchange them. What more could you possibly ask for?
Thank You yet again, LL Bean.

I got these boots strictly for outdoor landscaping, and occasional hiking. I have found their construction to be very, very good, and the sole and feel is extremely cushioned. There feels like a bit of extra height in the back of the sole, but I'm used to it, and they have provided traction in every sort of condition, including pulling weight on a slope. They are a bit on the wider side, but I like to wear with a mid-weight sock, and they cinch-up great as they seem to have a proprietary approach to lacing. A great boot, and although it's under a year, they feel like they will last, and haven't lost any of their waterproof quality under lots of use..

Rated 5 out of 5 by SLODave High quality, extreme comfort, great support
These are most comfortable serious hiking boots I've ever owned. Great cushioning, wide toe box for nice wiggle room, excellent construction that looks like these boots will wear well (but, if course, only time will tell.) The extra ankle support took only a little getting used to. They are well waterproofed and also breath well (and I have sweaty feet.)
Sizing: I'm in my late sixties, and have always worn 11.5 shoes and boots. But I noticed recently that my older boots weren't as comfortable as they used to be, but I just chalked it up to age. I went into an outdoor store looking for more comfortable boots. They measured my feet, and said I was a definite 12, and that it was normal for feet to spread with age. But they didn't have the Keens I wanted in that size. When I ordered these Durands, I ordered 12s and they fit perfectly. But, had I not had my feet measured, I would have ordered 11.5 and thought they ran small, or were just not comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SebagoFan I found that the stated sizing was accurate
I saw the review here that said to order a size up. I did this and found my pair to be too roomy. I ended up exchanging them for my usual size.
Perhaps this will just confuse the issue, but I found the shoes to be true to size. And they seem very durable and well made. It's just always tricky, I think, to buy shoes without trying them on first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Moki808 Nice boot but beware sizing
I have not had much opportunity to fully test out this boot but on initial examination, it appears to be a quality made item. I am also pleased that it was assembled domestically (US).
However, please use caution in sizing. This boot runs VERY small in length. While I ordered the 1/2 size up as recommended (11 1/2 for a barely size 11 foot), that size was close to fitting but not quite good enough, especially with thicker hiking socks. So I had to go a full size up, which I have never had to do with any shoe or boot in the past.
