Rated 3 out of 5 by Maschalein not flattering
I like the look of wrap dresses in general and liked the smoky blue color of this one, which I thought it might be nice to have for the cooler part of the year. Unfortunately the heavier tencel fabric doesn't drape as well as the rayon blend you use for the summer knit dresses. I don''t have a perfect figure and can only say that when you put the dress on, any figure flaw is mercilessly exposed! And the sleeves are too long, at least in size L.I returned this dress.

I'm 5'5", 120-ish and the xsmall regular fits nicely. I wish it were available in petite, because the arms are too long, but I can deal with that. The cut is a bit low, but a white cami looks lovely underneath. Also, a cami is required because of the plastic seams -- which itched so much in the first 5 minutes that I took off the dress & put on a full cami.
Still, it's nice to have a comfy, pretty, fully long-sleeved dress -- so I won't complain. I plan to order more - along with more white camis!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Capercats Only recourse: alteration
Back again, with the results of the Medium. Still too long in the body, gapes at the neckline. The dress is obviously designed for someone much taller than 5'4" Sent it to the dressmaker and had it altered for about $100. It looks fine now! Like the quality of the knit, doesn't wrinkle, and will travel well. With the remodel, it looks great and is a very basic style.

Rated 3 out of 5 by prairiems Comfy Dress, but puckering at the seam
I am 5'6" and weigh 125. I am slim and small chested. I ordered a small in the raspberry. This dress fit wonderfully, my husband loves it and for the most part it is very comfortable. The shape of the waist is retained through the use of a plastic like material, which is scratchy when worn. Not horrible, but can lead to some "itchy" moments. My biggest concern is the seam with the tag. After the first washing, it is apparent that the skirt was stretched during sewing as the seam puckers. I am going to try to fix it, but I do not have a lot of confidence that it will ever lay well. I may have to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by parimala beautiful dress BUT ...
this dress is not for 5 feet tall people. the color and the feel every thing is great, but I' m only 5 feet tall it fits funny. I hope that ll bean will consider the 5 feet petite people worthy of this dress too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by janet127 A rare return to L.L.Bean
Before ordering, I read the reviews on this dress. I was concerned about the repeated comments about the low neckline, but I ordered this dress in blue print and raspberry anyway. They arrived in good time and I tried them on. Yep. Very low neckline, but, an easy fix. Or, so I thought. There simply isn't enough fabric in the front bodice to pull the neckline together and either pin or stitch it in place without creating unsightly pull lines in the fabric. I also wasn't pleased with the thin clingy fabric. Ordering in a larger size would have made the shoulders too long. I've very rarely returned anything to L.L.Bean. This time, both dresses went back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Capercats Why not a Petite size in this dress?
Great dress but.... ordered a large: fits on bottom, too big on top and for 5'2" it is droopy/too long in the body. Am trying a medium to see if it has a better fit. Hopeful! Will come back with a report in about a week!

Although this dress is beautiful, both the color and fabric, it hugs my waist/hips a bit too much. The summer knit dress didn't (both in medium for me), so I will stick with the summer knit dress right now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DressFan Sizing Seems Off- Might Want to Order Up
I have pretty much lived in the indispensable knits summer wrap dresses, and was excited to get this heavier one for winter. I am typically a 14-16, and a misses L in the summer dress fits perfectly. I also own an XL one because there were no more L in the color I wanted- I like the dresses that much. So, I have tried on both sizes.
Based on my experiences with the summer version, I ordered this dress in L and it's way too fitted in the stomach and hips to be worn in public. I'm not sure if the skirt is cut differently, or if the sizing just shifted with the heavier material, but I was surprised. The color (I got the dark raspberry) is beautiful and the weight is really nice so I'm exchanging for a larger size, but it would have been great to save the return postage!

I'm SO darn surprised! I read all the negative reviews from "big girls", but took a chance anyway. I'm really really glad I did! I'm 5'7 & weigh 160, and am well endowed. The minute I felt the fabric, I knew I loved it. And then I looked in the mirror...WOW! Just....well...WOW! Too deep of a plunging neck-line? Really? I find it to be very flattering & workable. Yes, you could wear a cami-style slip underneath to tone it down. OR, you could wear it "as is" to "sexy" it up a bit. I got it in an XL when really I'm an M-L with this manufacturer. But this way, I can put it both into the washer AND dryer, with no shrinkage worries! :0) Thx LLBean!!!
