Rated 5 out of 5 by atticbitsandbobs warm shirt for cold days
I bought two of these shirts because I am often cold. They are cozy and warm and rather woodsy looking. My husband calls them my lumberjack shirts, but I love them for their warmth. As with other reviewers I found it necessary to order a size larger to get a good fit, especially in the arms. Even though I usually order a small or medium for shirts, these required a large in order to fit. The large also allows me to wear another shirt (like a long sleeve t) under it for the extra warmth. The sleeves are a little long but since I like to roll up my sleeves anyway, they work for me. A really good shirt for warmth if you like a woodsy look. Great for camping and dog walking on cool mornings as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by justhereforview Shrinkage makes for bad fit
This shirt is such a good idea and was perfect for deep winter work wear until I washed it several times. The outer layer shrank badly losing over 1 inch vertically and 1 1/2 to 2 inches around. Though I can still get it on the feel is uncomfortable as the outer layer squeezes to crush in the lovely quilted inner layer. It also looks rumpled, with the hem curling up now that the lining is longer than the top layer. And the sleeves are uncomfortably short where once they were perfect.
What to do? Take it apart, buy a new flannel shirt, wash it over and over, and use the quilted lining to insulate the new flannel shirt?? Yikes! Not what I had in mind!
Too bad. Please try again with massively prewashed flannel.

I love these shirts! They're so soft and warm, I immediately started wearing them around the house every day as soon as they came out of the dryer the first time. I now don't know what I did last winter before I got them. I'm 5'6", 140 lb, 36D, and I got a large, which fits great. Anything smaller would be too tight in the chest. I'm only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the sleeves could stand to be a bit longer, and I don't love the colors. The purple and light blue, which I got, are OK, but I'm not thrilled with the check pattern.

I love these shirts! They are so warm and comfortable. The sleeves are a bit of a mess when you first put it on and you are wearing it over another shirt but once you straighten them out, the shirts are great. The lining is like a quilt and just needs some straightening. I usually wear a size large in L.L.Bean tops and called Bean to get the "actual garment measurements" before I ordered since someone else had said that their regular size was too small. That is such a big help if you're uncertain about what size to order. Customer service is just great! I first ordered the blue and it was a great fit. Then ordered the red and soon after ordered the purple. All fit very well with plenty of room for a long sleeve tee underneath. I am 5'6" and found the sleeve length to be perfect. You gotta love Bean for keeping us warm all winter long! Thanks Bean for the great quality!

Warmest coziest shirt I've ever had. Have bought 2 so far and am considering another. I can delay lighting the fire in the wood stove when I stay warm in this shirt. It's great to wear outside, too. Really keeps an old lady warm.

I was disappointed with this shirt. The lining was way too bulky. While the regular Chamois shirts fit perfectly, this one didn't leave much room for movement. I love the color but the fit wasn't comfortable enough so I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pemuteran Coming back to buy a few more!
Bought this shirt in the light blue in a size small. I am 125lbs, 5'5'. The fit is nearly perfect. I absolutely love the nearly hidden side pockets Which are very roomy. The arm length is long, But I rollup the ends exposing the quilt pattern underneath and it looks great. I have a muscular back and upper arms due to my sports and although there is enough material for me in the upper arm area, it is "just" enough. If you have very thick arms you will probably have a problem with the shirt. I have not washed it yet to test for shrinkage, sorry. But I do not use a dryer so I am not concerned. Now that they are on sale I've come back to buy three more ? one for my mother-in-law, one for my best friend, and another color for myself!

I love, love, LOVE this shirt! Got the Spruce color which is nice and bright. The shirt is extremely soft and cozy - a real pleasure to wear. I found that my normal LLBean shirt size - Med - was way too small. Thought the large would be too big, but ordered it anyway, and the fit was perfect. I'm glad because I really love the shirt.

Very warm shirt, and made nice. Just a little to bulky and manly looking for me, so I decided not to keep it.

I think the title says it all. I took it out of package. For a large seemed to look tight fitting. But the overall weight was just too heavy for me. I like lightweight warmth. Sent it back for a refund.
