Rated 5 out of 5 by LoveShoppingAtLLBean Love these pants
To update my first review: I've worn these pants (deepest brown, navy night) for over a year. The fabric still looks good as new, with no fading of color and zero shrinkage (I dry them on medium.) They perk up with a light iron but can be worn casually without ironing. The material is soft and warm. Despite the jeans design, they are fine at work paired with a nice top/sweater. They fit my shape perfectly (slim waist, wider hips and tapered leg pants look best on me.) I wish LLBean made more pants in this exact shape, especially in stretch twill!!

Rated 3 out of 5 Great fabric but...
I loved the feel of these pants, but even as a 40something I couldn't do the high rise. I ordered a 12 which was painful as I normally wear a six or eight, but the fit was right. I have a high waist, and in my twenties wore the high rise pants as they were in style. But even so, these came up to my belly button. Have to return them.

I ordered up on size as the other reviews suggested and the pants were perfect. I didn't like the idea of "16P", but size is only a #. The length was perfect and I had a great comfort level. I would have liked a pair in black, but I will be happy with brown and navy. These pants give you a very cozy feel with a sophisticated look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LovesSales Definite sizing problem! Waist is way too tiny!
Heed the other reviews pertaining to waist size issues! The size ten
pants lacked inches and would not go around me.
Ordered a size up..........which was the first size 12 ever! and the waist is very generous.
The good part is, if you get a pair that fits, you will LOVE these pants! Comfortable, nice appearance, as comfy as wearing pj's but looks like nice dress pants. I ended up with two pairs in the khaki
LL Bean pants used to be a dependable size, but in the past few years have noticed a quality control issue in sizing. Makes it harder to order when you have to return items, so really appreciate the return policy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LIRed Beautiful slacks but not for my shape
I gave these 4 stars bcs the pants are very nice, have a fabulous soft feel. If you have a slim waist and more hips, these are for you. I never had a waist, even when I was a size 5 and less so now that I'm in my 60s. The size 8 in the cargo cords fit me perfectly. With these pants, I couldn't button the size 10. The crotch was a few inches too low leading me to believe that if you have more in the hips and rear, that would pull up the crotch. But having no hips or waist, I had to return them.

I hope LLBean does not discontinue this style because I loved these trousers. I ordered the khaki colour and have found it a lovely, neutral shade that co-ordinates well with many colours. I found the fit very comfortable overall, perhaps a bit too high in the rise but not at all restricting in movement. I favour tapered trousers because I like to wear tall boots, and a taper at the knee gives a nice, streamlined look. The fabric is indeed very soft and comfortable, and I wish they offered my size in other colours - alas! they are sold out!

Two stars for nice fabric and comfortable waist and hips. But? these are like two different pants style in one. The top part of the pants fit well (like a traditional fit) but once they get to the knees, all of a sudden, the bottom part of the pants are a skinny fit. Below the knee, they are very tight so that the pants actually tug when you bend your knees. I don't know if it's only certain sizes or just the petites that are like this. Also, they lose a star for the shallow pockets. Why do so many women's pants have pockets so shallow you wouldn't want to keep your money in them???

Rated 5 out of 5 by Murphy10 Beautiful, comfortable
I love these pants and wish they came in more colors. I normally wear a size 4 or 6 depending on brand. I'm 5'4. I ordered the 6 R and they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable, soft and look neat and trim. The first pair was a real bargain from the store. I loved them so much I went back and ordered the khaki color online at a higher price. I love them both and have already washed one pair and line dried it for the 1st wash. It did not shrink at all, still a perfect fit. I'd love them in stone, white, and pastel colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jeffsdate Order TWO sizes up!
Based on others' reviews, I ordered one size larger than usual, and they are STILL too small. However, I like the general shape of them -- especially the high waist -- so I have re-ordered in an even larger size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by shopperbythesea Poor fit!
Most of my pants are a size 4. I ordered these in a 4, and I couldn't even bring the button together. The rise is way too high. Most of my pants are more of a modern fit, so perhaps this is the way "classic fit" is and I'll just steer clear of it from now on. If you like a high rise, than this pant is for you, but you'll probably need to order a size up.
