Rated 5 out of 5áby adlr Perfect fall jacket
I have this jacket in corduroy and also in cotton. I take one of them with me whenever I travel. The cotton one just got back from Africa with me! The jackets fit perfectly to size, pack well, and provide just the right amount of warmth. I also wear them at home when it is cool enough (I live in Fla). This is my go-to jacket. However, even though they are supposed to be washable, I have them dry cleaned.

I, too, found this runs large. I returned a S for an XS and it fits well.
I just returned from a trip to Boston and wore the jacket every day. It looks rather elegant with a skirt and tights and casual with jeans or slacks. The fabric is thick so the jacket is warm enough in mild weather, even without a lining. The pockets are welcome.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Kalgary Soft with Stretch
This is a good casual jacket and I am really liking the Bay Leaf green color. The piping on the seams gives it an upscale look (as it is not lined, unfortunately), and the fit is quite comfortable. I agree that the top looks a bit boxy from the front, but overall, the look is nice enough. I ordered a size small which is in line with other Bean tops (sizing has changed over the years as I used to be a medium and I have definitely not gotten smaller; in fact, quite the opposite!), and I still have a bit of room for a thinner long-sleeved sweater or tee.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Kalgary Soft Corduroy
For this thicker corduroy, it sure is soft! I ordered this one on a daily markdown and am quite pleased. The color, Bay Leaf, is subtle and the piping on the inside seams helps bump up the quality (since this is an unlined jacket). I ordered size small (am 5'6") and it fits very well with some room to spare. It seems that the past few years, LL Bean sizing has changed. What used to be medium is now size small as I'm sure I haven't been shrinking. In fact, it is quite the opposite! The top part of the jacket appears a little boxy, but I can live with that. This is a casual jacket, good for springtime/fall time or around a campfire in the Rockies.

Rated 5 out of 5áby hookedonllb Order down 1 size
As soon as it arrived I washed it in hot water and put it in a hot dryer.
I bought a xsm and it is still big in the chest area. ( I am 5'4 and 112 lbs)
However it feels great on.
I don't button it up and kind of fold the front back and it looks good.
I bought it for $19.99 and I love it.

Rated 2 out of 5áby 2kids2cats very unflattering
Beautifully made jacket. Bean products are always beautifully made. The problem is, for me, the fit, and in this case, the design. I cannot imagine a more unflattering jacket. I could not take it off fast enough. It made me look like a big green block from the waist up. For once the sleeves weren't enormous (either in length or width); the length of the jacket was also good. The nehru collar was part of the problem, I think; there was simply no "break" in the fabric, no way to have the jacket open without adding inches to one's width. I am beyond frustrated with the fit of Bean products. I bet I order something new every couple weeks and the only things that I keep are pants I've ordered for my husband. I am a size 6 petite. Nothing fits me these days. This was not always the case. Thank God for the free return shipping thanks to my Visa, or I'd have given up long ago. I wish there were a happy-medium product line; something between the rather high-end Signature line aimed at the twenthy-somethings and the frumpier regular line. Help!

Rated 5 out of 5áby diane58 Wore it right out of the package....
Took this out as soon as I received it and wore it! It was THAT NICE, I put it on and opted to wear it out!! I didn't want to take it off. I couldn't ask for a nicer jacket. I've since washed it and it washes beautifully........I did go by another review where it said it ran big. I opted then to get the M, rather than the L as I usually would. I'm 5'4" and weigh about 170 lb. I'm not that big on top. I do like the stand up collar. It makes it a tad more casual than a blazer and I'm getting tired of blazers and sweaters. This is a nice change! Since it has some spandex in it, it does give. My only complaint, but it's not really a complaint, is I wish it were a tad longer to cover more of my bottom. But I do love this! It's warm too. When I took it off I then realized why I had it on and put right back on. I work right in front of doors and wore this to work. It was warm!
I would recommend this to any who wants a nice warm jacket where you can dress it up or dress it down! It's very versatile!

Rated 5 out of 5áby sweatersavvy Absolutely love this jacket!
I received this jacket in the mail today and have already washed and dried it according to directions. It fits me perfectly in a large. I am 5'8", 160 lbs., sort of a pear shape with a muffin top, but this jacket when buttoned up gives me a waistline. The soft sage green is very attractive and will look right spring and fall. The sleeves are a little long, but I will roll back the cuffs. I consider this jacket to be sporty rather than dressy.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Bettina Nice color but too big
I share other reviewers comments on the upper pockets being too bulky and really useless. The jacket was too big in the shoulders and the sleeves were too long and it had a boxy look. I am 5'6.5 " and weight 118 and ordered a small. The blue color was nice, but considering the overall fit, I didn't bother to try an XS.
