Rated 1 out of 5 by LB155 Donegal Flyaway Cardigan is just OK
I have washed my cardigan twice and already it is pilling along the sleeves. I can tell this willnot wear well after a few more washings and will return. The sizing is good.
I purchased this cardigan last year and it was made much better. It cost more, about $70- and was worth it because of the material and has worn well over the last two seasons.
Very disappointed in this cardigan and lack of quality.

Just received it and couldn't wait to put it on. I love the way it fits and where it falls. I'm just under 5'6" and chose the medium.
A near perfect mid weight sweater.
I do have one question, though. On the inside back, where it's slightly gathered, is the plastic or vinyl type 'tape' to be left as is? Will it break down over time? I ask mainly because everything I purchase from Bean lasts forever, and not sure this will hold up. Should I remove it?
I'm very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tallthingirl Love this sweater
This sweater fits without annoying gaps. It is warm and stylish. It does not pile like most sweaters do. I am tall with a long torso and kind of pear shaped. I absolutely love this sweater.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BeanSweaterFan Really frustrated
This is the second cardigan I've ordered with a weird fit. I had to return the first one (another style) because of the way it pouched out at the hips. Straight line, then very noticeable curve and back to straight line. It's bizarre. I'm not a curvy fit so perhaps that's the problem. I'm 5 ft. 7 & weigh 150 pounds. The curve, that starts abruptly with this design is so pronounced I could pull it out and curtsy to the Queen.
I read all the reviews and was aware of the "linty-look" issues but thought I could live with that. I ordered russet because that was the only colour left. It's nice but it does look "linty". So now I'm faced with a decision - pay for a return once again, which gets expensive or keep it. I can't go down a size, it would be too tight through the arms. I think there are real quality and sizing issues with some of these goods that are made offshore i.e. constant complaints about small arms & armholes no matter what the product. And complaints about diminishing quality. It's too bad. I always counted on LLBean for quality but I'm returning goods much more often than I used to. I'm now afraid to risk ordering anything new.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TootyTa Great sweater. Sizing inconsistent.. Disappointed.
I just received my second sweater, having lived in my first one since purchasing it in the fall. I gave the first sweater a five star rating because I really love it. This second sweater, also a medium, is a completely different size, much smaller than my first one. This is a great sweater, llbean needs to get sizing issues fixed. This is the second llbean item I have had sizing inconsistencies with. Very, very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by onemused Pretty, comfortable, short sleeves
My husband bought this for me for Christmas in a small (my usual LLBean size), but when I tried it on, the sleeves were a little shorter than I usually like. I'm 5'8" so I am a little on the tall side, but they stopped before my wrist. Fit great everywhere else, but I decided to get and try the medium instead. It was MUCH better on sleeve length. Thus, if you are on the tall side, I'd suggest sizing up for that reason. It still fit well elsewhere, with a bit more overlap in the front- not that much bigger elsewhere, but a few extra inches on the sleeves.
It's hard to see in the online photos as well, but these sweaters (all colors) have bits of other colors in them that almost looks like you are dragging around a bunch of fuzzies. Some colors (the brighter ones) look more intentional than others (like the purple- when I tried that color on, it looked like it had accidentally been touched by something really fuzzy). They also seem to shed quite a bit at first, so you may want to roll a lint roller over the inside if you plan to take it off at any point (so you won't be covered in fuzzies!).
Overall, it is a really cute and comfortable sweater- and it's pretty warm too, in typical LLBean fashion! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by CynAnn Very comfy stylish sweater
Just got this on Christmas Eve. Haven't been able to wear it a lot yet, but I love it. Fitted yet not confining. Fabric is very soft. I'm hoping it washes well. Would definitely consider purchasing in another color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TwoMuttMom Fun, funky sweater
I wear this sweater a lot, both at home and at work, and it looks equally cute with jeans or with dressy slacks. It's comfortable and warm, and I think it was well-priced. I don't mind the lack of buttons, since I don't usually button my cardigans anyway. I took off one star because the way it flares out around the hips is a little odd, even for my pear-shaped body, but I figure that's just part of its charm. I would buy more if there were still good colors available in my size ... maybe next year?

Rated 5 out of 5 by beachcomber65 Great Fitting
This sweater feels and looks great on me. I was a little hesitant before I purchased due to the way it laid at me hips and not having pockets or buttons. Purple looks great on me being 5'5 and 148lbs.
I purchased a medium and get a lot of complements on the way it fits.
