Rated 5 out of 5 by Hirsutegirl Please bring them back
Please? They are the only pants I can wear due to having hips with a measurement close to my waist, as another reviewer noted as well. ! I get so many compliments and even was asked if i lost weight. They have such a slimming , lengthening effect with the bootcut, and this is the only place i can get a medium tall. So basically, you have the superior product , in the sought after sizing. I just came back for another pair as I need a larger size now, only to find them unavailable and discontinued. Please LL Bean? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE? These pants are not just incredible looking, but incredibly comfortable. I can look like a put together adult in these, but feel like I'm in my pjs all day.

These are my favorite jeans. I have several pair and wear them all the time. Great look, great feel, great fit, great to travel in. PLEASE bring back this comfortable jean in the boot cut, item #276138. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in the FIT of the NEW style #300001 Anyone who wants a COMFORT jean probably doesn't want it SKINNIER. I bought the new fit but returned them after trying them on. I NEED the old style. I do not want to SQUEEZE into a COMFORT jean! Please bring back the old fit. Fit matters!

The less expensive sateen jeans you sell with a little stretch fit and look so much better. I'm just not ready to look this fake even if they would stay up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by reefview LOVE THE PANTS - HATE THE WAIST!
Anyone who would wear knit jeans would, In my opinion, want to have a waist that also stretched. I am in my late sixties and have the lovely figure of 38x38x38. In other words, my hips are a size 6 and my waist is a size 20! What I Have found I can do to make these extremely soft and lovely made pants fit is this: I wash in cold water, remove and find a convenient doorknob, hook one side of the waist on the convenient doorknob and (carefully) pull and pull and pull. I then hang them to dry for 30 minutes or so and repeat until dry. By the time they are dry they are usually about the right size for my waist, and, of course, they do stretch a bit with wearing. Hope this helps someone else since I almost sent these back. For reference I am 5'3" and weigh 155. I buy an 8P.

These knit jeans are perfectly comfortable and a great fit. I am older, and will be able to wear these with a regular-length shirt rather than tunics only. The color Sea Salt is just barely off white, or natural--not beige, tan, or cream, but white. It is perfect for spring. Another color, Paperwhite, is offered in other jeans styles, and it is probably the color many buyers would want for summertime.

I am 5'8", 160 lbs. I have the over 50 shape. These jeans are perfect, sized right, just enough stretch, wear well, and are very soft. I have black, dark blue, and indigo. I order them as I hate tight jeans that don't give when you move. These fit the bill. They have washed well and generally wear well though I do a lot outside and occasionally I have snagged them but they haven't unraveled or anything just a minor blemish.
I wash cold water and hang dry. No shrinkage in length.
They do have a tendancy to stretch out but that doesn't bother me as I said before I hate tight jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kjktsmom Love these jeans!
When I tried on the two pairs of comfort knit jeans that arrived in the mail today, I was thrilled by how comfortable they were !! I think one of the other reviewers said it--they're as comfy as sweats (but look MUCH nicer)! My only concern is whether they'll stay this way and not stretch out--then they'd be too big. I'll keep my fingers crossed:)

I purchased the sea salt jeans and didn't realize they were the knit ones until they arrived. Was amazed at how soft they were and even more at how comfortable they were. I'm 5'7, 125lbs and got the size 6 med/tall. They fit perfectly, at waist and length. Loved them so much, I bought a black pair too. I read some reviews that said they became loose at the waist after wearing them for a while...so far, not for me - love them!! The most comfortable jeans I have ever owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ExpatMommy Inconsistent sizing
I ordered these jeans in a size 16 and a size 18. I'm normally a solid 16 in LL Bean apparel but sometimes the cut of the jeans can be too snug so I thought I'd try both sizes. The 16 was way too small, not just snug but I was unable to button them by at least three inches. (I even checked to make sure I didn't receive a 14 by mistake.) So I thought, no worries, the 18 should fit perfectly. But the size 18 pair was too big, loose at the waist and weird puckering on the hips! I checked reviews to see if they might shrink which would be great as the feel of the denim is nice and the midnight wash color is great, but the reviews are all over the place, some shrink, some don't. Sadly both will have to go back. Inconsistent sizing with LL Bean has been my biggest pet peeve of the last few years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanCustomer9 The best everyday jeans -- please bring them back!
These are my favorite everyday pants because they're flattering and so very comfortable. I wear them everywhere. My husband marvels at these jeans -- he says they look exactly like regular denim jeans, but they feel so unbelievably soft. The fabric is soft and stretchy so it really does feel like you're wearing lounge pants, but with the neat appearance of jeans.
I like the gentle flare of the boot-cut leg. I generally don't like a high rise on my pants, and I found the rise of these jeans comfortable -- not too high, not too low. The stretchy waistband does loosen up as you wear the jeans, so keep that in mind when trying on for size.
The one drawback of these jeans is that they're not warm enough for cold weather. The fabric is relatively thin and it feels very permeable to cold air. The wind goes right through it. I have flannel-lined jeans to wear during the coldest days of winter, but for the rest of the year these jeans are fantastic.
I noticed these jeans are no longer listed on the main webpage for women's jeans. I called Customer Service (L.L. Bean has the best customer service) and was informed the jeans are being discontinued for spring 2016. I hope they come back soon because I love these jeans and I strongly prefer the boot-cut leg to the straight leg.
L.L. Bean, please keep or bring back the Comfort-Knit Bootcut Jeans!
