Rated 3 out of 5 by Frenchy Wrinkles easily!
I ordered two skirts in size 14. One skirt was too big. The other was a little loose in the waist, but would be good with a turtleneck and sweater tucked in. (The skirt has belt loops). I have an hourglass figure so I am bigger in the hips. I really liked the way the skirt looked on me.
When the skirts arrived, they were full of wrinkles. I steamed ironed the one I had planned too keep which make the skirt look a lot nicer. However, when I put the ironed skirt on and sat down, the back of the skirt wrinkled again. I am not an ironer, so unfortunately I will return both skirts.

I picked the raisin brown colour not knowing what to expect and was not disappointed. The colour, the fit and the warmth along with the classic look was exactly what I was looking for. My question is: are you discontinuing this skirt? I hope not. The length is what I was looking for. The shorter skirts just don't have it for keeping warm and feeling feminine when it gets cold outside. If you notice, when the long skirts or dresses come into the other stores, those are the styles that go first. Women, even young women are tired of the short skirts and when given the choice will opt for the long. I hope you bring back this style of skirt next year.

I have several of these in different colors. What I like best is they look like classic fall and winter fabrics without the scratchiness of wool. The lining adds warmth for cold weather. Great with boots. Suggest ordering a size smaller. I'm 5'3", weigh 123, and size four fit better than my usual size six.

I love these skirts. I ordered the heathered gray and just ordered this one in Houndstooth. I think the picture doesn't do it justice because it is more beautiful in person. The quality is superb. They are soft, lined, comfortable, and look great on if you have the right size. I have not washed them yet so I cannot comment on shrinkage. I am 5'1" and 150 lbs and the 10 Petite fits perfect. If you like longer skirts this is worth every penny...

This was a wonderful skirt. I would wonder about the sizing chart. According to it, I needed to order a 12 petite. It swam on me. So then I ordered a 10, too big. Then an 8 petite. It was too big also. So we're now going to a 6 petite. Wow. I'm not that small, usually use a 10 P. LL Bean has been wonderful about customer service and arranging it so they pay for my return shipping, but I've been amazed at the sizing. And I don't think I'm shrinking each week.

I just received it, ironed out the creases, and tried it on. Very nice quality and great length!! I'm 5'10.5" and the skirts hits me at
mid-calf. I'll revisit and update if there are issues after washing.

I was so enamored of these washable, nice-fitting skirts that I ordered three of them. But now that I've been wearing them for a year or more, I've approached the point that I may have to give all of them away. They have been carefully washed in cold water and never put in a dryer. Yet all have shrunk in length and the lining now sticks out from below the skirt hem. The skirts are embarrassing to wear. It looks like my slip is showing. I am not handy with hemming, so my decision is whether to take them to a local tailor and have the lining taken up, at some cost - or just give up on them. Very disappointing.

I am 5"1 and like my skirts long, so I ordered my usual size in a regular instead of petite. The skirt is a little big, but it sits very comfortably on the hips. The skirt falls to my ankle, which is perfect. The first time I washed it, I hung it to dry, and it came out a little bit wrinkled. But the second time I washed it, I put it in the dryer on low. It came out perfectly, and shrank just a bit (but still loose). So, now I'm going to order another skirt in a smaller size & see how that fits. The charcoal gray heather is a beautiful color.

I now have 2 of these skirts, and another on the way. I really love them!
I am a little older so the larger waist size suits me fine. I wear them with turtlenecks, blouses, cardigans, and/or vests, boots, shoes, whatever, and they are great because they can be worn with so many different pairings so as to be casual, professional, sporty, or dressy.
As to shrinkage: I wash them (washing machine) in COOL water, and I am careful not to over-dry them and use a lower heat. NOT A BIT OF SHRINKAGE!
I expect them to last a long time, and I am so happy I got them.
Oh yes: when you order, check out the colors, because the pictures look as though they are solid colors, but they may be herringbone, or hounds-tooth. Ask the person you talk to when you order.

I bought this skirt in the brown pattern and in a solid gray. Love them. I wear a size 10 and bought a size 10 perfect fit, they are a little fuller around the hips which I like. They look great when paired with a pair of boots and turtleneck. They wash and dry wonderfully. I'm 5'2" and the regular size falls a little longer than mid-calf so if you want your skirts shorter you may want the petite size but I think this length myself for winter.
