Rated 3 out of 5 by mommycozy Three stars only because sizing is off
These cardigans have brought me a frustrating experience even though their prints are charming. The white floral one has sleeves that are unequal in length. The grey floral and deep cranberry floral are bigger than the white floral even though they are all the same size (reg XS). I like them still but disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CarmenSandiego Purchased earlier AND later version of cardigan
As my title states, I first purchased the 100% cotton floral cardigan in XS. I'm 5'1", 112 lbs frame and have a 34DD chest. Despite not being skinny, that first cardigan was huge.
I returned it after seeing the "new" cardigans that are now 81% cotton with nylon and spandex. Also, now there's the size XXS. I purchased two of the new XXS cardigans and my review is altogether improved!
While I miss the softness and breathability of all cotton, the nylon helps keep the shape and reduces the cardigan getting stretched out after long wear. Also, the XXS fits perfectly. While my previous rating was 3-star, now it's 5-star. On top of that, there are many colors on sale, so I paid much less for these new and improved cardigans?win-win!!
A note on color: I ordered Ink Black and Dark Fuchsia. The black was a deep, true black, but the fuchsia was a bit "mauve-y". It wasn't a jewel tone color as I'd hoped, but still lovely. I'm keeping it. I have an iMac computer at factory settings and I'd say the color on my screen is darker than reality.
Also, despite being quite short I prefer the regular, not petite sizing. The arms reach about an inch longer than my wrist, which is ideal (ask any tailor!). Also, the regular length reaches my high hip, so unless you want waist length don't order the petite.
Overall I find Bean sizing to be wide and short?a strange combination. I prefer narrow and long, so XXS regular is my new favorite size :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Fussyannie Cotton cardigans specific, many products generally
It would be great if you could offer more products in XL. The last few cotton cardigans had sleeves so narrow couldn't wear long sleeve blouse w/o bunching. Your catalogs show only young people. Older people need attention also and have the money to buy .Senior Catalog products seldom have the quality offered by ll bean. I think you are missing a lucrative buyer group by ignoring seniors who seldom have skinny arms and narrow butts!

Rated 3 out of 5 by OverHere Could we have a V neck version of this please?
Hi, I wondered if there will ever be a V neck version of this cardigan please? It would be lovely to have a choice of styles.
I preferred the heavier version of this cardigan - I have the older heavier version for many years which is still washing perfectly and I have the new lighter version which I don't love as much.
Please let us have a choice of style!

Rated 4 out of 5 by diinin Blue floral not so bright
I ordered this in blue floral, and the colors are much more muted than they appear in the picture. I would prefer the picture version.
The sweater itself is very soft. I would normally not wear a sweater alone, but this one is soft enough to do that, and it looks alright alone.
Sizing seems true, if not a little small. I ordered a small (5'4", 109), and I can only hope that it doesn't shrink. Wouldn't want it to be any smaller. One reviewer questioned whether the solid colors might run large and the prints small.
Still trying to decide whether to keep it. It was pretty expensive, and I don't absolutely love it. But it is different from anything else I have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tabledweller Too long
I am 5'8" and a medium sweater goes down to about 3-4 inches lower than my hips. Makes the "look" of your outfit too frumpy. I'll be returning mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by leening Good for the winter, early spring blues
Purchased on the 2 a day sale. Bought a medium (usually wear size 8 or 10). The medium was fine, size wise. It is a creamy creation of yellow and olive. It is very fine gauge and light weight. With the current cold weather I layered it over a couple of yellowish tops and received compliments.
I am usually a plain Jane and have only solid color cardigans except for this. Must admit it is a nice change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Frenchy Neckline is too low!
The colors of the blue chambray sweater are much more vivid on line than they really are. On line the roses look like they are a brilliant blue. They are actually a much duller blue. The blue is also overshadowed by the green stems.
I do not like the low (scooped) neckline. I prefer a sweater that goes up to the bottom of my neck and keeps my neck warm.
The sweater is fitted and does not run big.
Overall, it is a nice, soft sweater, but it is overpriced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by knitknit Very nice cardigan
I ordered this fine gauge cardigan in black and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. Good quality at an excellent price point. I ordered a large and the sleeves are a good length and it has a fitted not boxy look.
I paired it with a pima sleeveless shell in black and it looks dressy especially when I wear it with perfect fit pants--very versatile and I can wear this shopping out to dinner, or to the theater.
Very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LovingWhatIs Lovely basic sweater
This is a high-quality, light-weight, super-soft sweater. It is good for travel because it packs so small. I have purchased 10 of these sweaters. The first one was a patterned sweater for my mother-in-law in size L. Then she wanted a basic black sweater so I bought a second for her, 4 more as gifts, and one for myself. I usually wear one size smaller than my mother-in-law so I ordered a M for myself. I thought the M was a good fit so I was surprised when I tried on a S that I had ordered for my daughter-in-law and it fit even better than the M. So then I ordered 3 more sweaters for myself in size S. I am 5' 7" and 138 lbs. and both the M and S look fine on me. In other words, you don't have to worry about the fit of this sweater. Any size you order is likely to be fine.
My only complaint is that the "white" sweater I bought is not a bright white. Instead it almost perfectly matches the antique white paint on my walls and it is only slightly lighter than the "winter white" sweater I bought last year. If something is sold as "white," then it should be a bright white. On the other hand, the black sweaters I bought are a nice dark true black.
