by MoreBeanTheBetter Tons of room. Secret bottom storage a big plus!
I have had this bag (or version of) for years! I fill it up with everything I need for literally the entire summer. We pack our bags and go to Maine for the summer and this bag covers me, one more of these covers my 2 kids. The extra large bag is BIG. I'm wondering if the negative review is for the medium bag which is MUCH smaller. I stuff mine full and have never had any trouble with it falling over to the side...ever. The feature I love the best is the completely separate compartment on the bottom. I can't believe that Bean doesn't show a picture!!! Keep in mind that mine is old so the interior might be a different color. I am able to fit at least 5 pairs of shoes (or sneakers) in here along with a few pair of flip flops. In the bag I use for my daughters, I put all their dresses that I want to keep wrinkle free. I would absolutely recommend this bag for travel!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TallVAshopper Love this but,
This is a great bag. I love the pockets for organization, the wide mouth opening, that it is a rolling bag. The problem is if you fill the bag it is too heavy to pick up and cumbersome to roll and stand up alone. I tried the medium bag, but found it too small. It would be so great if this was offered in a large size.

I'm not sure why this was given 1 start. The extra area for folded clothes is fantastic and gives a lot of capacity.

Wow, after years of being satisfied with LL Bean I was greatly disappointed with this product. I am heading to Europe for three weeks in the Fall and I wanted a sturdy roller that could hold a lot with good storage and compartments to store things in the outside pockets. 1) It doesn't hold much and my current trip to Florida where I needed to get a lot in I had great difficulty closing the bag. 2) outside compartments, I tried to put a pair of flats and flip flop's in and it wouldn't zipper. 3) Weight. I wanted something sturdy yet light enough to keep under 50 pounds, Nope! Lastly and importantly, the wheels do not keep it upright, it rolls side to side not balancing and anytime. On the stairs, it wasn't at all cooperative. I went to been for quality and dependability and for the first time ever, I didn't receive either for an expensive piece of luggage. See you in Freeport!
