Rated 2 out of 5 by Coastal66 Not for me
I loved the feel of the fabric and the color (light indigo wash) when I unwrapped these jeans, and couldn't wait to try them on. I'm so tire of dark wash jeans, and these reminded me of the light wash ones I had a few years ago when you could still find them. Unfortunately, the size 8 was way too small in the waist. As a devotee of Not Your Daughter's Jeans, I read another review that said these were comparable, but they're not in my opinion. The waist sits way lower and hits the heaviest part of my middle, which gives me a horrible muffin top. They are made for a young model with a figure like the one in the photo, not a 66 year old with a less-than-sleek waistline. This is honestly the first time I have ordered something from LL Bean that I couldn't wear, as I have been a customer for years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beezel Nice fabric, odd fit
I wanted to like these because they felt nice. Unfortunately they have a problem that I run into occasionally where the thighs, although tight and slightly stretchy, somehow slide down when I walk and make them uncomfortable with extra fabric in the crotch. Even with a belt they still creep down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ilovebooks Very Flattering
I purchased these jeans hoping that they would be dressy enough for casual office days and I wasn't disappointed - they are very nice. I purchased the dark wash in a 0 regular (5'5"/105") and I agree with other reviewers that out of the bag, the length is a little long and the waist gaps a bit. I washed them in hot and dried on high and they shrunk to a perfect length for a 3" heel. I always wear belts anyway so the waist isn't an issue for me. The flare is very flattering and the wash is fine for casual office wear. Throw on a button down, blazer, and scarf for a chic yet professional look. I am definitely coming back for the lighter wash for the warmer months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Inky4LLBean Good flare
So far so good. I just got these jeans. Based on the reviews I got the size 4 in the light wash. I am 5'7" and 135. I have muscly legs so a flare is much better for me than a straight cut. These are great, nice wide flare, really soft, they have a lot of gray in the blue. I might give them a day or two and order the other color. They do gap in the back, but I'm willing to compromise for the fit in the leg.

Rated 2 out of 5 by rebound Thin, baggy and not worth the money
These jeans are not even close to being worth what they cost.
They are thin and get baggier with each hour you wear them.
The length is good if you like to wear your jeans with heels
and the flare is large, which I prefer. But the fact that they
get bigger and bigger as the day wears on negates any
of their redeeming qualities. The price is not in line at all
with their quality. You can do much better than these jeans
for half the price--or even less. I would never buy them again
nor tell a friend to.

Fabulous Jeans!! I wish the waist did not gap at the back but that is usual in higher waisted pants and I need the higher rise. I wish they came in more colors and also materials other than denim like corduroy or velvet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYlady7 Signature Flare Jean
I purchased the signature jeans for a special party I was to attend. They wear like pajamas and they actually fit me. I have a small bottom and thin legs, my pants usually look baggy and never fit well.
I was at the laundry mat last weekend and had them on. A 80 year old woman remarked on how well the pants fit me. I told her they were Bean pants and she said she was not surprised they were from Bean. Funny but true story!

A jean that finally fits! Amazing! The petite sizing is perfect. Please make this is every color imaginable. I am so happy to finally have found a pair of jeans that do not give me muffin top, nor do I have to pay to have hemmed. LOVE!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TexasGirl3 Not as good as the straight-leg jeans
I recently bought a pair of the Signature straight-leg jeans. I loved those so much that I decided to give the flare jeans a try too. However, the flare jeans sit higher on the waist than the straight-leg jeans do; for me, this caused a problem of gapping at the back of the waist that I didn't have with the straight-leg jeans. These jeans were also a bit too flared for my tastes, but the gapping waist was really the bigger issue. (It's too bad the Signature line doesn't make a low-rise bootcut!)
